Chapter 8 •Maddie Ziegler• "I've made my choice and you've been proven innocent," the judge told me. That made sense. Running away with my sister wasn't kidnapping. Kenzie burst out of her seat and hugged me. Everyone was dismissed and my mom led me and Kenzie outside. I guess we were a family again. Not. She handed me and Kenzie our little bags and turned around. "Bye girls," she said. "Its obvious you don't need me. You ran away after all," she said. We stared, dumbfounded as she walked away. She was leaving us. This day had gone from great to terrible. I thought I no longer had to fend for myself and Kenz. We watched as her figure continued to walk away. I hugged Kenzie as she cried. We could survive. For now. What would we do when winter came? We would need parents and help. I turned my back to my mom and grabbed Kenzie's hand. We walked down the street together, not looking back.
•Third Person POV•
The two little girls walked hand in hand down the street. They knew they always had each other. They both had tears in their eyes. Their mom continued to walk for awhile but came to a stop. She saw her two daughters walking down the sidewalk. Breaking into a run se chased after them. She grabbed them, pulling them into a hug. They hugged her back. She never meant any of it. She needed them back. They were her little girls. The three walked down the street to their home. Their hands linked. Eyes crying the same tears. Tears of happiness. || END OF FANFIC!
