A soft knock woke Isagi up and opened his eyes to stare blearily at the ceiling.
Fuck. Where was he? And what time was it?
He squinted his eyes and let his eyes adjusted to the faint moonlight streaming from the windows to look up from the wall clock of the room and found out that it was already 8 in the evening.
"Master Isagi? Are you awake now? Dinner is already prepared downstairs and Master Reo is waiting for you at the dining room." The familiar voice of Ba-Ya made it through his line of hearing and Isagi cursed inwardly within himself and scampered out of the bed to open the door and greet Ba-Ya who was waiting patiently outside.
Right.
They're back in Japan now and he briefly remembered what he said to Reo earlier when they arrived at the mansion that he wanted to take a nap first on their bedroom because of the exhaustion and jetlag that he felt from more than the 8-hour flight they've taken going back here.
Fuck.
He overslept.
"Oh, hey Ba-Ya. Can you let Reo know that I'll be downstairs in a few minutes? I just need to take a quick fix in the bathroom." Isagi replied, rubbing his nape sheepishly.
"Very well Master Isagi. I'll let Master Reo know." Ba-Ya bowed politely and left him to his own devices.
As soon as Ba-Ya left his room, he immediately closed the door and rushed towards the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror.
For the first time in his life, he wanted to look pleasant and pleasing in the eyes of Reo.
Isagi closed his eyes briefly and heaved a deep breath before he opened his eyes again to look at himself in the mirror.
His nerves were skyrocketing in his pulse and his heart started to beat wildly inside his chest. He bit his lip as he could feel the heat flooded on his cheeks.
There was no time to mull the thought over but he knew within himself that he couldn't deny it any longer.
He wanted Reo to look at him.
To finally look at him with a genuine pleasant expression on his face and considered him as his husband for real.
It was a foolish thought but the night that the surrendered himself to Reo's arms back in Hawaii was the night that his fragile heart was now in his hands.
Regardless of the farce in their relationship came slapping into his face with the gravity now of their situation back in Japan, he couldn't stop his heart from yearning and hoping...
...hoping that the illusion could never end and continued to be dress like a beautiful reality.
Because his heart was foolish that listened to no reason at all.
Isagi could only sigh in defeat before he proceeded to wash his face and get ready, waiting for a good feeling to come.
The sounds of the approaching footsteps caught Reo's attention which made him looked up from his phone to see Isagi's figure making his way inside the dining room.
His eyes swept over his figure and he surmised that the other had quickly yet haphazardly made himself presentable before going down here because of his slightly mussed up hair which was probably combed once and his deep blue eyes which were still glassy and glazed over from sleeping too long at their bedroom once they reached the mansion.
Nevertheless, he still found himself enthralled at the young striker who possessed one of the prettiest faces he ever laid his eyes upon. Isagi's charm came from his youthful looks coupled with those wide, expressive ocean blue eyes that turned a bit darker and sharper in hues if provoke or if he's on a soccer field, devouring his opponents in a match.
