Chapter 8 Ancient Horror

Yulia and Kayla were walking through the canyon they had fought the standard goblins and bandits but there were more trouble ahead as hiding in this canyon is an ancient mask that dates back to the 15th century that a paladin who some say was Anzolt herself made it to fight back against the abyssals but it is guarded by a very powerful celestial that kills anyone that tries to take the mask. Not only that but there's a abyssal that was trapped in canyon that kills only one who walks through it.

Yulia: Can't believe I made it this far with someone like you.

Kayla: Listen I could just leave you and go on with what I'm doing but I can't.

Yulia: And why is that?

Kayla: Someone may be watching.

Yulia: Wouldn't happen to be your science friend would it?

Kayla: *surprised* How did you?

Yulia: He appeared to me when you passed out. He was holding the cursed tome as well.

Kayla: He has it! That would explain when he appeared in my dream and made me feel every magic type there was in this world. Have the scar to prove it.

Kayla should the scar that was left on her from her dream.

Yulia: It's surprisingly not that bad of a scar for someone who took every magic type.

Kayla: What you don't believe me.

Yulia: Not saying I don't I'm saying there's no way you were hit with every magic type and have that tiny scar.

Kayla: Oh then you get hit and see what happens!

Yulia: I wouldn't feel a thing.

Kayla: Bullshit!

They continue to argue catching the attention of some more bandits who were in the area.

Bandit: Look at what we have here fresh meat! Not only that the flame princess herself! This is gonna be fun get 'em!

The bandits ran towards them with killing intent but they were stopped in there tracks by Yulia who froze there legs then Kayla used her scorch ability to burn all of them to ash.

Kayla: That was easy.

Yulia: Let's keep going before the sun goes down.

They both made it halfway through when they both felt the presence of both dark and light magic in the area but the light magic was somewhat stronger.

Yulia: *thinking* "How is there both light and dark magic? Should there only be one if there this close to each other? This makes no sense."

Kayla: Hey you ok?

Yulia: Why do you care?

Kayla: Just trying to be nice for once.

Yulia: Hm I'm fine just a little curious is all.

Kayla: On why there's light and dark magic in this area I don't know either.

Yulia: It's weird because there's no way they could be near each other.

Kayla: I guess but it's getting late so we should be getting some really rest to dangerous to go through at night.

They found a bandit's hideout and after "evicting" the people there they set in for the night and when to sleep. When they did they were transported to the void once again with the table and chairs and sitting at the end was Aj or what looked to be him.
