After a month of traveling Aj and Kayla reached the Port town of Grand River. Despite the name it's not actually on a River it's connected to the ocean but this was there only shot at getting a boat or more accurately hitching a ride on a boat because there still wanted criminals and the royal guard were on high alert for them as for what went down in the last city. They found a abandoned house that they could lay low until a boat came around.
Kayla: You could have found a better place to make plans.
Aj: Look I know it's not the best place but this is what we gotta work with. So the plan is to steal a boat or hop on a ship that's going to ashium.
Kayla: Ok how will we get the boat if we go with that plan?
Aj: I gaslight someone into giving us theres.
Kayla: And what's the success rate on that?
Aj: Definitely in the double digits.
Kayla: I feel like your lying to me.
Aj: *smiling*. Why would I do that?
Kayla: Your smile says it all so that's why we're going with the other plan of hitching a ride.
Aj: Fine but if we're going to do this we need to find the schedule for when the ships come and go.
Kayla: And where would this be at?
Aj: No clue.
Kayla: *sighs*. Welp we find out ourselves
Aj: Do you know where to find it?
Kayla: Of course not but I know how we could get it.
Aj: What are you planning?
Kayla stand near the door waiting for a worker to walk by. When one finally did she grabbed him and held him down to interrogate him.
Kayla: Alright asshole if you want to live your gonna answer my questions got it?
Worker: Mhmm!
Kayla: When's the next ship going to ashium?
Worker: One's not coming back for 2 days!
Aj: Huh alright. Oh hi by the way.
Kayla: When will it leave once it comes back?
Worker: I...I don't know!
Aj: Why is that?
Worker: Pirates have been attacking our ships and making it hard for ships to come back but since that ship has ashium people working on it there not afraid of the pirates.
Aj: I see so get rid of the pirates before we leave.
Kayla: Why?
Aj: Because it would put us over the royal army here because we would be able to get them to rebel. Plus they have treasure.
Kayla: Uh huh. And as for you get out of here and don't tell anyone what you saw or I'll fucking kill you.
She threw him out of the house.
Aj: Was that last part really necessary?
Kayla: Yes now lets get some information on those pirates. *explosion happens outside*.
Aj: Well guess we don't need the information.
They both went outside to see a fleet of ships firing cannons at buildings while the pirates stormed the town and pillaged it.
