Chapter 15 Powerful Then The Gods

After the battle with Chris and the interaction with that mysterious person Aj when back out to the spot of the tree that burned down to see if he could salvage anything to figure out his plant magic.

Aj: Hmm I know where his power came from but how is there plant magic? This makes no sense but then there's that person who appeared to me. Maybe I shouldn't have took that deal I don't even feel any different.

???: What the hell are you on about?

Aj: *turns around* Oh hey Kayla I was trying to get samples of the tree but I burned it and it's just ash.

Kayla: What do you need the samples for?

Aj: His magic is nowhere in the record books that I have. I even tried asking Azreal but he's not talking.

Kayla: That is something but what I want to know is how your ass made off that burning tree?

Aj: "should I tell her?" I told you Azreal helped me.

Kayla: You think I believe that? I know he can't teleport! Well atleast not unless he went into that dimension or whatever but even then he's still in one spot. Plus he can only bring himself so how did you get down the tree?

Aj realized he couldn't lie anymore so he told her what really happened.

Aj: I'll tell you but you have to believe everything I say.

Kayla: Fine.

Aj: Ok so as the battle ended I realized that I couldn't get down so I just laid there waiting for my death by burning.

Kayla: Uh huh.

Aj: So as I laid there something appeared to me. I don't know what it was because the flames kinda blinded me but I know it was something.

Kayla: Ok.

Aj: This person asked me if I wanted power. And I said yes.

Kayla: "Wonder why."

Aj: I shook its hand and suddenly I was in the lab.

Kayla: Sounds like you had a run in with a divine being.

Aj: Probably but I don't feel any different.

What both of them didn't notice as aj was still finding samples and talking a small spark came off Aj's hand.

Aj: Damnit there's nothing here! I need to figure out how the hell this works! Unless?

Kayla: Unless what?

Aj: *smiling*. I think I got it come with me!

Aj grabbed Kayla's hand and led her into the lab. When they got there aj went to his computer.

Aj: Ok so if we combine earth magic and water magic we should be able to get it.

Kayla who was stunned from what he did wasn't listening.

Kayla: "This man did not just do that!"

Aj kept working to see if his hypothesis was correct.

Aj: Let's see waiting for the results. *turns to look at kayla* Hey you ok?

Kayla who was still stunned from what happened.

Kayla: Yes.

Aj: Cool.

Aj turned around to kept researching while Kayla was thinking to herself.
