The Woman's POV
I guess I hadn't realized how long I had been walking around. People were starting to look at me funny and I could tell that I looked really different from the rest of how people normally dressed. How long had I been out? What year was it? What put me out last time. Images flashed through my head as well as faces of people I once knew...people I cared for. Why me? Was my life always meant to be this way? Was I just to live my life in sacrifice for the betterment of others? Was I to fight this fight alone and die alone? I guess I had gotten too lost in thought because before I realized where I had been going I had run face first into someone's chest. I looked up to see a spikey haired blonde with a scar across his face staring down at me. A memory flashed across my mind.<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
"You have to save Mavis!" The young blonde haired boy said. I smiled softly at his candor. "Laxus you don't understand. If I save her I will be using up all of my power. Is that what you would want?" I asked as I reached forward to ruffle the kids hair. He grabbed my wrist tightly stopping me from doing so. "If she dies then I will never get to become a fairy tail wizard. Is that what you want?" He yelled back at me. I couldn't help, but chuckle. "Alright fine, but promise me something...if I do this...please don't leave me alone." I had said. "I promise!" He said smiling.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>I looked up at the man in front of me and he looked down at me surprised.
"A...Astra???" He stammered and I smiled softly. That's right. That was my name. Man it had been years since I had heard that. He looked around quickly to see if anyone from fairytail was around and he apologized. "Sorry...I mean my lady." He said and I continued to smile.
"Laxus you've certainly grown up." I said and he blushed a bit as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Yeah it's been several years since..." His sentence trailed off as a remorseful look spread across his face. "I should get going." He said suddenly feeling cold.
"Then I am not to stop you, but maybe you could guide me back to the guild I seem to have lost myself." I said and he chuckled and nodded as I silently fell into step next to him. It wasn't long before I found my way back to the guild with him. People were surprised to see him and even more surprised to see him beside me.
"Laxus what the hell are you doing here?" Makarov yelled at his grandson. There were some tense looks and angry faces.
"He was helping me. I got lost." I stated blankly as I was careful to show no emotion.
"My lady I thought you had a mission to achieve?" Mavis piped I with her sweet and innocent sounding voice. I knew better though than to undermine her.
"I did, but I realized I didn't have to leave for it. I came up with a plan. I'll be here for a while." I said looking at the guildmasters. Makarov nodded. Not so much in the fact that he was agreeing with me but more in the fact that there was not much he could say about it. I knew th book. I knew how it ended. I knew the role I played and the place in which I would be when the time was right, but for now the best thing I could do is just be here.
"Mistress! You're back!" Loki said and walked over to me happily.
"I know most of you don't know me but in time you will. You see...I am one of you." I held up my right hand where on the back of it was stamped a black fairytail guild symbol. More murmurs and whispers were heard. I walked up to the second floor and spoke softly. "I'll be in my chambers if you need." I said before walking to my floor and closing the door. I fell asleep not knowing if what I had been experiencing was a dream or if I was ever going to wake up again. All I knew was that in time I would have to make the ultimate choice.
