I woke up early the next morning to see that Lucy and Leo had crashed out in my place. I couldn't help but smile at the two. Celestial wizards were some of the most powerful wizards and the closest to primordial magic. I felt a sharp piercing pain in my head as my vision went white and images flashed before my eyes. I saw smoke, I saw bodies, I saw darkness, I saw...death. When I came too I found myself gasping for breath and surprised I hadn't woken the two. I got dressed into another flowing skirt, but I made sure to have a short sleeves shirt on this time. When I walked down into the main hall of the guild I found it to be empty. I looked around, but didn't seem anyone anywhere. It looked like the only people I could find were passed out from partying too hard. I saw most of them sleeping and decided to head out on my own. I know it was against Makarov's wishes, but I would be okay on my own. Once I got toward the docks where the ship would be departing later today, I close my eyes and focused. I breathed in and out to the rythme of the waves crashing agains the shore. I felt the warm sun on my skin and the air surrounding me. When I opened my eyes again I saw brilliant radiating wings extending from my back. I felt the soft of the feathers and smiled to myself.

"It's been a while old friends. I hope you have the strength in you because I have a feeling we will be doing a lot of flying today." I mumbled to myself as I took off from the docks and flew out in the direction of my mission. Tenrou Island.  After what felt like hours of flying I finally found this massive island with a single tree growing out of the middle of it. I closed my eyes and meditated on the nature and the magic that surrounded me. I could feel the magic that surrounded this place and it was powerful. The more I focused the more something felt off. I heard the rush of birds feathers and watched as birds flew off. I felt a chill run up my spine and my eyes shot open. I stood to my feet quickly and started running into the thicker parts of the forest. The more I ran the more I felt it. He was here. I made it into an opening and across a small stream of water I saw it...him.

His head rose slightly and he looked at me with those tired sadend eyes. The sun pierced through the trees and he seemed calm. "Zeref..." I whispered under my breath and the wind seemed to pick up.

"What are you doing here? This island is supposed to be deserted. No one is supposed to be able to find it." He whispered back as I waded through the stream of water until I was on the same side as he was. "Please don't get close. I could hurt you." He said with tears welling in his eyes.

"Zeref...it's me...Astra." I said and there was a moment of clarity in his eyes. He smiled softly and it was the first time I had seen him smile in a while.

"A...Astra...." his body sat up and he smiled a bit more. "Astra." He said with tears in his eyes and I knelt next to him.

"Hello my love." I said and he started crying. I held out my hand to him and he looked at me worried and concerned.

"I can't...Mavis she..." He grabbed his head as he yelled and screamed in pain. There was a surge of powerful dark magic as a wave of black energy surrounded him and everything around him died...well everything but me. He looked around with tears in his eyes, but when his eyes landed on me he looked surprised. "How? That surge usually kills everyone!" He said.

"Because I can't die love." I said as I held my hand out to him and he looked at my hand. He slowly reached his hand up and placed his hand in mine. He looked even more surprised that I didn't die.

"How? This shouldn't be possible." He said as he looked at me. I wrapped him in a hug and held onto him tightly. I knew what I had to do and I knew what it was going to cost...I just didn't know if I had it in me.

"Don't worry my love. I am going to take this curse from you. I promise you that from here on out you can live the rest of your life happy and free from your sins. All you need to do is ask." I whispered in his ear. He grabbed onto me tightly as he began to sob.
