Kaveh glared at Alhaitham from across the room, attempting to make eye contact with him as the other put all of his attention into a book. The blonde scoffed as he stood up and made his way to where Alhaitham was sitting. The greynette looked up from his book with a confused expression that quickly turned to annoyance as Kaveh snatched the book from his hands.
“What’s wrong? You could’ve just asked me to put the book down,” Alhaitham said as he sat up straight in order to look at Kaveh better. The blonde rolled his eyes and dropped the book onto a table, grumbling as he did so.
Alhaitham sighed and crossed his arms, still maintaining eye contact with the architect. “If you don’t tell me what’s wrong, I can’t help fix it,” monotoned the sitting man. Kaveh looked at the scribe with a face that felt like words being shown to him, telling Alhaitham all he needed to know.
“Did I do something to upset you?” Kaveh rolled his eyes again and glared at the greynette even more. “Maybe if you took your eyes off that damn book for 2 seconds, you would realize what you did,” complained the blonde. Alhaitham sighed, “You’re jealous over a book?”
Kaveh frowned further than he had already been and turned away from the scribe. “I’m not jealous!” “And I don’t have green eyes,” Alhaitham grumbled as he stood up. “I’m not replacing you with a book; I wouldn’t do that to you.”
The architect took a step away from the scribe, clearly not content with the answer. Alhaitham sighed and picked up the book, then walked to the nearest bookshelf. He put away the book on the top shelf and turned to look at Kaveh.
“There, now my attention won’t be on the book,” the scribe said. Kaveh crossed his arms and huffed, still angry at Alhaitham. He sank to the couch and mumbled something, before saying “It doesn’t matter, just go back to reading your books or– I don’t know, whatever you do in your free time.”
Alhaithm looked at the blonde and frowned slightly. “Kaveh, I can spend time with you now,” the greynette said as he tried moving closer to the sulking man. The blonde stood up quickly and walked to their bedroom door. “I’m going to lay down,” was the last thing Alhaitham heard before Kaveh shut himself in their room.

Alhaitham opened the door to the room he and Kaveh shared, expecting the blonde to be asleep already. To his surprise, Kaveh was awake and sitting on the bed sketching something down in his notebook. Alhaitham slowly shut the door behind him and turned to the bed, being met with Kaveh staring at him again.
Kaveh quickly looked back to his sketch, seemingly trying to make a point to Alhaitham. The scribe sighed and opened the top drawer of his dresser and pulled out some clothes. He walked to the bathroom to change, coming out a few moments later. He threw his dirty clothes in a basket and slowly sat down on the bed.
The architect set his notebook on the nightstand on his side of the bed and laid his head against the pillow, not saying a word to the scribe. Alhaitham sighed again and laid down, facing away from Kaveh.
There was something nagging Alhaitham in the back of his brain, telling him he forgot to do something. He recollected his thoughts for a moment or two before the answer finally came to him. He hadn’t told Kaveh he loved him yet, and even when they argued, Alhaitham still told Kaveh he loved him.
“Goodnight Kaveh, I love you,” the greynette said; his tone loving and sincere. Kaveh was about to say something before a feeling of guilt rushed over him. He turned over, now facing Alhaitham’s back. The blonde frowned and moved closer, now pressing himself against the muscular man.
The blonde draped his arm over the other's waist and pressed his face against the greynette’s neck. “I’m sorry Alhaitham..,” Kaveh whispered. “I love you too, goodnight.”
Kaveh smiled into the other’s neck, and Alhaitham couldn’t help but smile too. They both closed their eyes, happy that they didn’t have to go to sleep when they had yet to finish their argument.
