Quackity POV:

I was getting out of Karl's and Sapnap's building and started walking back to Schlatts place, my mom didn't have a lot of money so he offered that I'd come to live with him and give her money from time to time, it was so nice of him, only that he was an alcoholic so sometimes he wasn't really nice, and hit me, whenever Tubbo walked in on us Schlatt would threaten to hit him too and kill him if he told anyone about this, but luckily, Tubbo always ran away.

Aside from that Schlatt was the sweetest man, he was so romantic and kind, that's why I didn't leave him yet even though I really wanted to.

As I kept on walking I heard someone screaming
I quickly looked to see what was happening and saw a random person, covered in fully black stabbing a random lady I immediately started running back to Karl's and Sapnap's building opening my phone as I did so, calling 911

"911 what's your emergency?" A man answered my call
"I'M CURRENTLY RUNNING AWAY FROM A MURDER SCENE AT MALIBU WAY, I COULDN'T TELL WHAT TYE MURDER LOOKED LIKE, HE WAS DRESSED IN FULL BLACK AND IT WAS DARK, I DID SEE THAT BE HAD BLUE EYES" I whispered yelled still running
"Okay, sir calm down and get to the safest place that you know is next to you, whatever you do, as long as he's still after you don't go to your house" He instructed me "We will send cops, and an ambulance to the place right this moment, thank you for calling us"

I then hung up the phone as I finally saw the building I got out of just a couple of minutes ago, I quickly ran up the stairs and as soon as I reached their house I started banging on the door

"Just a moment!" I heard Karl calling from the other side of the door, but I continued knocking wanting him to hurry up

"Who's there?" He asked
"IT'S ALEX, PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR" I begged
The door quickly opened and I got in
"Thank you so much" I almost started crying right there and then
"Alex, what happened? Are you okay?" Karl asked, clearly worried
"Murder- Malibu-" I tried to talk but got cut off by my tears

"Shhh, it's okay, you're safe. Come sit on the couch, I'll make you some hot chocolate, alright?" He gave me a comforting smile closing the door behind me and leading me to the gray couch in the living room

"Alex!! You're back!!!" Nick came out of the hallway "Oh-" he said as he noticed my face "Alex..." He sat next to me, not asking any questions and just being there for me, and I appreciated it

Karl went to the kitchen to boil water before coming back with a timer on his phone so he'll know when to go back to the kitchen
"Do you want to... Talk about it?" Karl asked slowly sitting down next to me
"No, not really, um- will it be okay if I stay with you guys until they're gone?" I quietly asked, ready for any answer they'll give me, good or bad.
"Of course! But we don't have an extra bed/mattress, um- oh, if you're staying here shouldn't you call Schlatt to tell him where you are?" It was obvious that Karl just wanted me to walk away so he can talk with Nick in private so I just nodded and walked away, searching for Schlatt's contact on my phone

"Alex? Where are you?" Schlatt answered the phone "You know I'm locking the house in less than fifty minutes, right? My parents won't allow you in if you come after eight"
"Yeah, actually, I think I should stay with Karl and Nick, there's a murder somewhere nearby and I don't feel safe going out again right now" I said almost whispering
"Wait, did you see the murderer?" Schlatt asked
"Yeah, they were stabbing a woman in Malibu Way" I felt a bit more relaxed knowing that he was sober
"Okay, don't come to school tomorrow, I'll pick you up from their house, alright?" He spoke slowly, making sure I understood
"Alright" I gave a weak smile, even though he couldn't see it
"I'll see you tomorrow, stay safe pumpkin" his voice was soft and genuine
"See you tomorrow, and I will, thanks" I felt safe right now, just talking to him on the phone
"I love you Alex" It was at these moments when it was easy to say it back
