                            Grace's pov

I see a red car hit the wall and suddenly my heart stops.

Without hesitating I run to the ferrari garage. People around me all start panicking. I run as fast as I can, not stopping even to catch my breath. Now the entire place is filled with people running everywhere.

"Is he okay?!" I manage to say as soon as I step foot into the garage however no one even bothers to look at me. They all continue what they are doing.

"Will someone at least tell me if he's hurt?!" I yell. Now my cheeks are stained with tears, my eyes bloodshot and I run my hand through my now messy hair, something I do when I'm panicking.

As I go up to some engineers that I recognise from me watching the races in this garage last year, I feel a pair of hands gripping me from behind and pulling me with them.

"You can't be here miss." A security guard says while putting pressure on my wrist and hurting me.

"Please, I just need to know if Charles is okay! I'm not causing any trouble." I try to get away from him but it's pointless. The guard sees me trying to resist him so he picks me up, ready to kick me out.

"Let her go!"

I hear a familiar voice behind me. It can't be him...can it?

I turn my head and see Charles standing in front of me with a mad look on his face. If looks could kill, the guard still holding me would be six feet underground right now.

How is this possible? I saw his car blow up. There were flames everywhere but yet Charles stands in front of me, not a scratch in sight.

"Mr. Leclerc she was-" the guard begins to say but is interrupted by Charles.

"If you want to keep your job, I suggest letting her go right now!" He really wasn't joking around.

The guard slowly lets go of me and leaves. Charles then drops his eyes to my wrist, trying to see if I'm hurt. I immediately run into his arms. He lets out a small groan, probably hurt from my sudden reaction. I put my hands around his neck and take a deep breath. Charles doesn't hug me back. He just stands there, even when i let go off him. His face is emotionless.

Is he mad at me? Did i do something wrong?

"Are you okay Charles?"

"No." And he pushes me with his shoulder, as he walks away from me. He's trying to leave but I follow him behind because I need answers.

"Charles! What happened?!" I cry out.

He turns around, approaching me. I can now feel his hot breath on my face.

"You wanna know what happened? Fine! You. You happened!" He screams at me. Now people start gathering around us, everyone enjoying the show. I'm well aware that we'll end up somewhere on social media tomorrow.

"W-what are you talking about?"

"I was doing so well but then you had to come and ruin everything! I deserved the win today Grace, not Max, me!"

"Are you seriously blaming me right now?" I ask confused but hurt at the same time. He can't be seriously be blaming me for crashing into a wall when all i did was sit on my ass and watch the race.

"Yes I am. I'm blaming you! This is all your fault!" He says while turning around and leaving again.

"How is this my fault?!" I say while following him behind.

"You distracted me!"

When I hear him say those words I stop. He turns to look at me.

"I can't, I can't stop thinking about you, alright?"
Charles says in a low voice almost as if he's ashamed.

So I'm not the only one that's crazy and thinking non-stop about my ex. Good to know.

"Charles..." I reach for his face and give him an apologetic look.

If I had known that my presence would affect him so much I would have never agreed to come. No matter how much it hurts me not to see him, I don't want to hurt him. Not again.

Charles puts his hand up on top of mine. We both look deep into each other's eyes. His features softened and he tries to dry away my tears that are already spilling down my cheeks. Suddenly he starts to lean in.

Is he about to kiss me?

I close my eyes and just wait for him to put me out of my misery but instead he puts a lock of my hair behind my ear and whispers to me.

"I don't want you here."

And with that he finally leaves.
