Before he knew it autumn arrived. He had been seeing Louis for two months now and it was safe to say that he had fallen in love. He hadn't told him that though. A small part of him feared that Louis was with him because he was able to communicate with his dead mother and sister. Grief and loss could make people do crazy things.

They spent most nights together. Louis was busy writing and recording songs but he made sure to make time for him. It was on one of those evenings that Louis invited him to Doncaster to celebrate his sister Lottie's birthday.
"Are you sure? That's a big step." Harry said.

Yeah, I mean, if you think it's too soon, I understand but I really want you to meet them and the other way around. They're really curious about the man who makes me so happy." Louis smiled.

"Alright, I'd love to meet them. Happy, huh?" Harry grinned.

Louis rolled his eyes at him.
"I don't think it's a secret that I'm really into you, Harry. I hope we're on the sand page here?" Louis asked, looking a little unsure.

"We are." Harry said.

Louis must have picked up on his hesitation.
"But?"

Harry turned to the side so he could look at him properly as they were laying in bed post-sex.
"I'm in love with you."

Louis broke out in a happy smile.
"I'm in love with you too."

He furrowed his eyebrows.
"But? What's going on? Is it the closeting thing? It's too much, isn't it?"

"No." Harry hurried to assure him and cupped his face with one hand and gave him a quick kiss before he tried to form his thoughts.
"I guess a small part of me is afraid that the reason you like me so much is because of what I can do. You can talk to your mum and sister through me."

Louis looked surprised for a second.
"Huh. Two questions. Have I ever asked if I can talk to them, other than that first time?"

Harry thought about it.
"No."

"Exactly. Second question, is the reason you're with me because I'm famous?" Louis questioned.

Harry's mouth fell open.
"What? No!"

"As you might understand a small part of me have that fear." Louis replied with a small smile.

"Yeah, but your artistry is your job, it's not why I love you." Harry tried to assure him.

"And your psychic abilities are not why I love you." Louis retorted.

Harry lay his head and Louis' chest and hugged him closer. Louis planted a kiss on the top of Harry's head.
"So... Doncaster, this Saturday?"

"Count me in." Harry smiled.

Saturday arrived and Louis picked him up and they began the four-hour drive to Doncaster.
"I'm really looking forward to showing you me hometown." Louis smiled excitedly.

"I'm excited to show you my home village, see Doncaster, and meet your family of course." Harry said and returned the smile.

They had decided to stay the night in Doncaster and then drive to Holmes Chapel on Sunday where Harry was from so he could introduce Louis to his family too.

They entered Louis' family he and a whole bunch of people came running into the hallway and threw themselves at Louis who hugged the oldests before he picked up the youngest and kissed their cheeks until they laughed.
"I've missed you, guys! Oh, this is Harry, me boyfriend."

Harry broke out in a smile. It was the first time Louis had called him his boyfriend.

His siblings were happy to meet him, or so they said, but as the day proceeded he felt them welcoming him into the family. They were genuinely happy for their brother. Harry realized that Louis was open with his friends and family and that was what mattered in the long run.

As Lottie blew out her birthday candles two other family members joined them, the ones only Harry could see. He leaned it to whisper to Louis.
"Your mum and sister are here too."

Louis looked emotional.
"Really."

"Yeah, they're standing behind Lottie smiling." Harry informed him in a low voice.

"That's great, but why do they show up like this? Haven't they crossed over?" Louis asked, looking worried.

"They have. They just check up on you all once in a while. They want to celebrate your sister's birthday." Harry smiled.

"Okay." Louis smiled.

The day went by fast. Harry had a great time getting to know Louis' family and he really liked them. When it was time to go to sleep he and Louis shared a single bed in Louis' old room and they made future plans. Shared their hopes and dreams.

The next day they drove to Holmes Chapel where Harry's family welcomed them with open arms. His sister Gemma was there too. Of course, she had to embarrass him during dinner.
"Now Louis, did Harry tell you that you were his favorite One Direction boy?"

Louis let out a surprised laugh.
"No, he didn't."

"Gemma." Harry whined with blushed cheeks.

"He had a poster of you on his wall. I'm pretty sure you were his gay awakening." Gemma smirked.

"Gemma!" Harry gasped in horror and hid his face in his hands.

"Really? That's cute." Louis giggled.

Harry grunted. He was mortified. A light touch to his wrist made him remove his hands from his face. Louis was smiling at him.
"Don't be embarrassed, love. It's a huge compliment."

Harry just pouted so Louis leaned in to kiss him. Harry felt a little better after that. Louis might have been his teenage crush in the way that you had a crush on a celebrity but the adult him loved everything about Louis.

They had to drive back to London since Louis had to be in the studio early. Harry said goodbye to his family and they promised to visit soon again. The weekend had been a success.
