XVI: Right Person, Wrong Time

It was just announced that Nayeon passed the audition for a role, she's so happy and wanted Y/n to be the first one to know about the great news. She calls her number but Y/n isn't answering it, she thought that she must be busy that's why she's not answering the calls

Some time …

Nayeon went back to the dorm she's staying at, she got to the floor and saw a girl sitting down in front of the door while crying. She approached her and it's Y/n, while Y/n looks up seeing Nayeon

Y/n stood up in front of her, Nayeon saw her red eyes. Nayeon gently pulled her and hugged her tightly, there Y/n cries even more

"It's okay.. I'm here" Nayeon softly said

Next day …

Nayeon just woke up, Y/n is still sleeping beside her. She left the bedroom, Momo and Jihyo having breakfast at the kitchen

"Is Y/n alright?" Jihyo asked

"She's sad but I don't know why" Nayeon said

"Why didn't you ask her?" Momo asked

"I don't wanna push her, she's going through something and all I could do to help is be there for her. She can open up anytime, I'll wait"

A week later …

Y/n had been staying with Nayeon for a week now but she still hasn't said the reason why, now they're eating at a restaurant

"Can I stay with you forever? We're dating anyways" Y/n said

"Why? Did you have a fight with your mom?" Nayeon asked

"I couldn't take it anymore, I ran away" Y/n smiled

"But what about your future? Your pottery?"

"I quit"

"What about your dad? If you quit on pottery then there's really no way to see him again, are you really sure with your decision?" Nayeon asked, Y/n nods

"My decision is to choose you over everything"

"But I can't give you everything, I have no money, power or influence. I can't give you the things you grew up to" Nayeon said

"Isn't that Y/n?" They then heard two students whispering who's at the other table beside them

"That's her! I heard she quitted pottery, my mom always wondered why. Her mom says she's sick but she looks fine right now"

"Let's go" Nayeon said, the two stood up, Nayeon held her hand and they left the restaurant

"I think I'll apply somewhere, I have to find money somehow so I wouldn't be a burden to you" Y/n said

"Aren't you scared?" Nayeon asked, Y/n stops walking and looks at her

"Honestly, no. After my fight with mom that night, something that I kept in my chest disappeared for a long time, It feels relieving, like I've been set free" Y/n said, Nayeon then got a call and answers it

"Yes, this is Nayeon. Who is this?" Nayeon asked

Y/n watched Nayeon's phone call with someone, she notices that her facial expressions changed but doesn't know why

"But wasn't I accepted? What happened?"

"No, it's okay. Thank you for telling me" Nayeon said and ended the call, she looks at Y/n
