Chapter 6
***Five years later***
Sitting on the patio with Letty, both of us watching Emilio, my three year old son with Coco. He's playing in his sandbox. "How's your classes going?" I ask her. "Good. We had finals yesterday so I've got a month off before next semester starts." she tells me. "That's good. You've been doing great. You know me and Coco are proud of you right?" I ask. "I know. That means a lot. I know I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for you and Coco." she tells us and I smile. We hear the bike pull up and Emilio looks up at me and smiles. "Go on." I tell him and he jumps out of his sandbox and runs towards the gate to wait for Coco.
The gate opens and you hear Emilio yell "Papa!" and Letty and I laugh. "Hola mijo. You been good for mama?" he asks. "I been good Papa. Ask mama. Letty here too." he tells Coco. As Coco walks around the side of the house, to the patio, still holding Emilio. "Hey mama." he says kissing me softly. "Hey baby." I say softly as he puts Emilio in my lap and he snuggles me. "Hey Leticia." Coco says. "Hey Coco. How was work?" she asks. "Good. You on break yet?" Coco ask and she nods. "Good. Wanted to take a few days and take a little trip just the four of us." I look at him and he smiles. "Things are slow and I told Bishop I was going to be unreachable for a few days." Coco says and I smile before leaning over to kiss him again.
We spend the next few days two hours away from Santo Padre and spending time as a family. It's an amazing few days. Our last night there, Letty tells us to go out to dinner and she would watch her brother. We get to this little restaurant and they seat us. "This was a great idea." I say. "Yeah, it's been a good few days. Almost hate going home." he tells me. "I know but we have a good life. Things are good with the club. Letty's doing great and working on getting a degree. Emilio is growing so fast." I tell him. The waiter comes and asks what we want to drink. Coco orders a beer and asks "You want some wine?" I shake my head and say "Can't have wine." I tell him and he looks at me confused. I laugh softly and say "Found out the day before we left." He pulls his chair over next to me and kisses me hard before turning to the waiter and says "Water for her." The waiter walks away and he kisses me again. "What did the doctor say?" he asks. "I'm seven weeks along and we are both doing great." I tell him.
After dinner and a walk through the town, we head back to the hotel and slip into our room. Letty is awake watching a movie and Emilio is sleeping. Coco walks over and kisses Letty's cheek while I sit and take off my shoes. "How was he?" I ask. "Good. Gave him a bath and we watched a movie until he went to sleep. Been sleeping since about nine." she tells us and we nod. "We need to tell you something." Coco tells her and sees him looking back at me, smiling wide. He looks back at her and she looks at me and laughs. "Again?" she asks and Coco looks shocked. "You knew?" he asks. "Nah. But that's the same look you had when you found out about Emilio. This one better be a girl." she tells us before coming and hugging both of us. Who knew that when worlds collide, it creates the perfect universe.
