Welcome to Bitter Treats!
This is Tyler's story and it's something I've been wanting to tell for quite a while but have been working on finding the right form for, and I think I've finally found it! I've been wanting to tell his part of the story in Sweet Little Birds for quite a while because I do think his story brings another dimension to the romance but I also didn't want to just do a pure mirroring of the story I've already told. So instead, this story will alternate between chapters telling his side of the story after he meets Robin and chapters set before that. Hopefully, it won't be too confusing.
This story is basically pure indulgence on my part, so I hope you excuse any overly fluffy chapters. This is not a story written for maximum drama or literary flair but rather just a way for me to escape back to a world and characters I love (and I hope readers want to join me in that journey).
To readers of Sweet Little Birds! Welcome to this story. Since many of you (just like myself) grew very fond of Tyler, I think you will enjoy this. As a bit of fanservice, I will at the end of each chapter that is set in the same timeline as SLB, add a note about which chapter or chapters it would connect to, so you can go back and read to see how they interplay.
To readers who haven't read Sweet Little Birds! You are of course also very welcome to this story. My intention is that this story should work as a stand-alone work so hopefully, you can dive right into this story. I do recommend reading Sweet Little Birds (which is already completed on my profile) as well though, to get the full experience of the story.
Update schedule: This story will be updated once every week (probably on Thursdays) as I'm aiming to make it qualify for the Ongoing category in the Wattys. To make sure I have enough chapters to post for the whole period, I won't be able to update more frequently (although I may need to do some double updates in August to hit 20k before submitting).
