"I'm Batman." Tyler let his voice drop a few octaves to properly imitate the masked defender of Gotham.
"Oh, of course," Des chuckled, twirling the tail of her homemade lemur costume. She looked from Tyler toward Robin, dressed as the boy wonder with the same bird-inspired name. "I get it now.".
Dressing up as Batman and Robin for Halloween was perhaps a bit cliche but being newly out of the closet, Tyler was all about cliche. Couples costumes, gifts of roses and chocolate, good morning kisses, all that jazz. He wanted it all.
Plus Robin's ass did look mighty fine in those tights. Tyler discreetly released his crutch, leaning it against his hip, to free one hand for fondling. Discreetly, he let the hand travel up under the skirt-like part of the costume to caress Robin's buttocks. The rising blush on Robin's cheeks told him that the move had the intended effect.
"Not here," he whispered, slightly panicked, into Ty's ear. "I'm just wearing tights."
Robin may seem innocent, but Tyler knew arousal was always hiding right under the angelic surface. Together they created a whirlwind of hormones and lust, feeding into each other's desire until the storm swept everything in its path. Tyler loved bringing out that side of his boyfriend. He was growing addicted to it even. He loved watching eyes grow dark from lust. He loved feeling Robin's crotch area harden under his touch. He loved the metallic taste of urge tainting his lips with each kiss.
"Later then," he whispered back, placing a kiss on Robin's red cheek before he removed his naughtily placed hand. He scanned the gaudily decorated residence hall, filled with plastic skeletons and glowing pumpkins, in search of a secluded cleaning closet or something. A place where they could escape to if, or rather when, lustful fantasies took hold of them.
"Tyler Caster!" A familiar voice from behind interrupted Tyler's search for naughty hideaways. He turned as quickly as the crutches allowed, finding himself face-to-face with his past, currently dressed up as an alpaca. Her make-up was slightly darker and seemingly put on by a more apt hand and her unruly curls were tamed into waves. But those caring brown eyes had looked into his too many times, seeing his troubles without speaking them out loud, for him to ever mistake for someone else. They were the same as her brother's.
"Sarah..." he mumbled, suddenly no longer at a Halloween party but back among sparkling lights and conflicting emotions from a year and a half ago. He had run then, abandoning her in a glittery dress, but he couldn't run now, neither literally nor metaphorically.
"I haven't seen you in forever," she squealed, boosted by sparkling cider and glittering lights. "Not since—"
"...prom," Tyler ended her sentence while looking down in guilt.
"Yeah..." Sarah's smile washed away when his night of betrayal was mentioned. Perhaps she'd also tried to forget but now remembered how much she despised him. He wouldn't blame her. He deserved the venom.
"Can we talk?" he asked, desperate not to make a scene. Not here. Not in front of Robin. Not before he'd at least tried to explain. "Like sit down somewhere, I mean."
Sarah nodded, pointing toward some free spots on a sofa across the dance floor. Tyler leaned close to Robin, busy discussing lemur tails with Des, and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "I'll be back soon," he promised. He knew his boyfriend was in good hands with his best friend, so he felt comfortable leaving for a little bit.
Traversing around rowdy students and across sticky floors, Tyler made his way to the couch, where Sarah was already seated. "Sorry," he mumbled upon sitting down. "I'm not too quick anymore."
Sarah's hand touched his shoulder. For a moment, he thought she may be trying to kiss him again, just like at prom. Maybe she still had feelings for him. Maybe he would have to let her down all over again. But the touch turned out to be supportive rather than romantic. "I heard what happened," she assured him. "I tried to call you and text you to check in, but you didn't reply. Hernan did as well."
