"We all have powers of some kind or another,"

"Well, it's good to meet you Kiara, let us show you around."

Gwen said before walking out of the office. Kiara followed behind, looking around more closely since she hadn't the first time. "This is really high tech," she mumbled, touching one of the panels on the wall. "Oh yeah, it's pretty cool," Pav said, looking down when he heard a beep on his watch. Gwen did the same.

"Well shoot, looks like I'm needed somewhere. Nice to meet you, Kiara!" Pav said before running off. "Yeah, I'm sorry I got to leave as well. I'll see you two later." Gwen said before leaving as well. "And then there were two.." Kiara said quietly, looking over at Hobie.

"And then there were two," He agreed, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Do you really want a tour, or do you wanna get out of here?" He asked, glancing over at her. She smiled softly, stopping her walk. "Can we get out of here, please?" she asked, and he simply nodded.

"Wanna head to my flat?" he asked, and she nodded. Suddenly, a portal opened, and he walked through it. She decided to go just do the same, walking through before walking out and into an apartment. "Woah" was all she said, immediately looking around.

"Your place is really cool," she told him, glancing over her shoulder at him. "Thanks, love," he told her, flopping down on the couch before kicking off his shoes. She soon looked at the multiple guitars that littered his walls. "Hey, do you play?" She asked, motioning to the guitars.

"Nah, I just have them for decoration." He said with a straight face. "Yes, I play them. I'm in a band, actually." She smiled widely, plopping down next to him. "No way, me too! I play the bass, though, but I have always wanted to learn how to play guitar." She said, untying her shoes.

"Remind me of that, I'll teach you sometime." He said with a small smile before putting something random on television. Kiara nodded, getting comfortable before closing her eyes. Her neck was really starting to bother her.

------

Her eyes slowly fluttered open, glancing around the now dark room. As soon as she smelt the delicious food that was being cooked, her stomach rumbled. She slowly got up, groaning in pain as she clutched her head. The painkillers must have worn off.

Walking into the kitchen, she found Hobie standing over the stove. "What smells so good?" She asked, peeking over his shoulder. "Well, good morning sunshine, how are you feeling?" He asked, showing her the soup that was cooking. "Honestly, I feel like shit.." She grumbled, rubbing her temples.

"Do you want some ibuprofen?" He asked, pointing to a bottle that lay on the counter next to a glass of water. He started pouring the soup into a bowl, setting it at a spot on the counter. "Thank you so much, oh my God." She said with a large grin, grabbing a couple pills before downing them with the entire glass of water. She sat down at the counter, starting to eat the soup.

"I figured the painkillers would have worn off by now." He said with a smile, sitting on the counter in front of her. "I'm sorry I passed out. We barely have met, and I just fell asleep." She said, scratching the back of her head.

"Hey love, don't worry about it. You're in had a hell of a day." He said with a reassuring smile. Yeah, they were going to be good friends.

"Hobie piss off." Kiara grumbled, climbing through the window of her bedroom before landing on the floor. She yanked her mask off, turning around to glare at the man standing behind her.

Kiara and Hobie had been in charge of capturing another Doc Ock from a different dimension and bringing him back to headquarters. Somehow, Hobie had managed to mess her up, getting her choked out again. "Kie, I'm sorry, you know I would never do that on purpose." He reasoned with her, pulling his mask off as well.

She ignored him, walking up to her mirror and looking in it at her now semi purple neck. She winced as she touched it, glancing at him over her shoulder. She knew he felt bad, and he really didn't mean to, but she was still annoyed. "I know, I know.." She mumbled, grabbing a pair of sweats and a baggy T-shirt before walking into the bathroom.

When she re-emerged from the bathroom, she found Hobie sitting on her bed with his head hanging low. She frowned, walking over and sitting on the bed next to him and leaning her head on his shoulder. "Im sorry I snapped at you," She mumbled quietly. "I know you are love, and I'm sorry I messed up and let you get hurt." He placed his head in his hands. He obviously felt very upset.

He looked at her neck, frowning slightly before he reached his hang out to her chin. He tilted it up, getting a better glance at her neck. He shouldn't have. It made him feel even worse. "Let's get some ice on it, yeah?" He asked, nit even waiting for a reply before he walked out of the room. When he came back in a couple minutes later, his clothes were changed, and he carried a soft ice pack in his hands.

"See, I told you keeping clothes here was a smart idea." She said with a smile, leaning back on her bed before reaching her hand out for the ice pack. He handed it to her, sitting down on the bed next to her. "Yeah, you were right.. You always are." He smiled, looking at the clock that hung on her wall. It read 1:38 am. "Well, I best be getting back to my flat. Do you need anything else, love?" He asked her, standing up slowly.

Kiara placed the ice pack on her neck before glancing at him. She frowned slightly when he said he had to go home, but she understood. "No, I'm okay. Try to get some rest, okay? I'll be fine, I'm just going to go to bed." She mumbled before climbing under the covers. He simply just nodded at her, opening a portal in her room before walking toward it. He turned back to face her one last time. "Have a goodnight Kiara, I'll talk to you in the morning." He said before walking through to his own dimension.

"Yeah, goodnight." She said before turning the light off and drifting off to sleep.
