Earth- 42
Inside of a classroom of freshman highschoolers, an Alchemax professor and assistant have come to visit the school to give a presentation for each freshman class for the day.
The professor and assistant brought along fifteen small glass cages, all in three rows of five, almost each cage accompanied by bio engineered spiders. The professor stood by the right of the glass cages as the assistant stood to the left, the professor giving an explanation of the different species of arachnids. The teacher was over at his desk, clicking away at his laptop, and leaving the professor and assistant to take care and teach his class.
Professor: As we all know, there are over 32,000 known species of spiders in the world. They're in the order Araneae, divided into three suborders. Arachnids from all three groups possess varying strengths, which help them in their constant search for food.
After he finished his sentence, his assistant grabbed three photographs of three different types of arachnids. The first of a large bright orange and hairy Delena spider.
Assistant: For example, the Delena spider, family Sparassidae, has the ability to jump to catch its prey.
As he explained, two particular students, who were both cousins, sat next to each other in the front seats of the class. The student closest to the right side of the class is a Afro Latino boy, his black hair styled with two long length dreads going behind his head, and his eyes having a green color to them. He wears dark grey shorts, black shoes with grey laces, a plain grey undershirt that's covered up by his purple jacket.
Next to him was a White Latino boy, his light blue eyes with a hint of light green around his pupils complimenting with his medium length unruly dark brown hair. He wore a orange plain shirt with an unzipped grey jacket, dark blue jeans that are being held up by a black belt, and orange and white Ajijos brand shoes with three orange stripes, the words "Superstar" atop of the black stripe on the outside of the shoes, and the Adidas logo on the tongues of the shoes.
The brunette was intently listening to the professor's every word as he stared at the biologically changed spiders with interest. While the dread haired teenager was bored out of his mind, resting his chin on his left hand, tapping the eraser end of his pencil on his open notebook.
Dread haired teenager: *Huffs an exasperated sigh; Whispering* This is sooo, so boring.
Brunette Teenager: *Whispers back, not taking his eyes off the spiders* Come on, it's a little interesting.
Dread haired teenager: *Whispers* Oh yeah, because insects are just *Rolls his eyes* oh so interesting.
Brunette Teenager: *Whispers* Their arachnids, not insects. Big difference.
