Some time passed by after AJ and Gwen had snapped out from their focused stares. Gwen and Peter both laid back in the seats and decided to take quick naps for the rest of the ride.
AJ, however, was wide awake still and going through his phone. He was setting a reminder to buy a new sketchbook for Spider-Woman suit designs in the notes app on his phone so he wouldn't forget.
As he was typing in the reminder, his eyebrows furrowed, and a low hum rumbled in his throat once a question ran through his head.
WHY DID THE COLLIDER BRING GWEN HERE?
It's clear that Peter Parker, in his universe, being shoved into the collider, causing Peter B. Parker to arrive to his universe, he and the veteran Spider-Man already established that. But how was it possible that the collider also brought Gwen Stacy, Spider-Woman, an entirely different person, to universe a universe with Spider-"Man?"
AJ: *Bumps the top of his phone on his chin in deep thought* Did the Super Collider based solely on Mr. Parker's radioactive blood? *Leans his phone off his chin and nods a couple of times* Yeah, that would make sense.
He glanced down to the back of his right hand, staring intently on the healed spider bite scar.
THE SPIDER THAT BIT ME...
His right hand let's go of his phone as his left hand turned off his phone and stuffed the mobile device into his left pocket as his eyes never took off of the healed spider bite. He remembers when he went down into the abandoned subway tunnel to find the radioactive spider that bit him, and how it glitched out into distorted shapes and coloring, just like how Peter had been glitching every so often since he met him.
He wonders. What if the spider that bit him was from another dimension?
He lifts his left hand up to his right, grazing his left thumb over the healed spider bite. His mind started racking up theories about the spider being from dimension and how it could be affecting him. The good side of the radioactive venom in his veins was the normal Spider-Man powers were a obvious side effect, but the bio-electricity, camouflage, and possibly the enhanced spider sense is definitely a high difference from the Spider-Men and Spider-Woman he has met.
The possible bad side of the side effects would be, if the radioactive spider really was from another dimension, then wouldn't the radioactive venom from the spider cause him to glitch out like the arachnid and Peter? It's possible his blood and the radioactive venom were able to correlate together without any issue.
HUH. KINDA LIKE HOW A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT, OR A BLOOD TRANSFUSION WOULD WORK.
It may not work like that exactly, but it is a theory worth taking into account for.
His eyes widened in shock once another thought popped into his head, and his heart nearly dropped down to his stomach. His hands slide over each other and onto his sides, making his arms hug himself to try and make the dread casting over him to leave him.
If the spider that bit him was from another dimension, then was he ever meant to become Spider-Man?
AJ: *Groans, shakes his head, and slightly slaps his right hand on the side of his head* There's no point in thinking that. It's already over and done with. *Removes his arms off him and rest them on the armrests* The spider crawled on you, it bit your hand, and you got it's powers. *Sighs* No need to start an insecurity about it.
