I stared out of my window, or whatever was left of it. I could see the hell suspended, hovering over us, mocking us. I honestly wish that I could do something. Sadly, I can't. I could've helped or prevented it for a while if only my stupid powers had come already. I'm already 16, it was supposed to come last year. I just don't get it. And, I deserve it. I spent 15 years devoted to training. Life sucks. The prophecy in Vermonia is that 5 kids will save us. The sacred kids. But where are they now? Huh? Life isn't fair. It sucks even more for me because I'm immortal. An eternity of a sucky life. I'm actually pretty young, 160 years old. Or, 16 in the human world. For the people in my head, I'll use human units. Basically, everything in Vermonia is confusing and really hard to explain. Unless you live there, of course.

I've always dreamed of going to the human world. It's probably has more peace than our world. Oh- Jairam, or in the human world, Jeremy, is coming.

"Hey!" Jeremy shuffles towards me.

"Shut up!" I push him against the wall.

"You have SOME nerve to just come in here and talk to me like that. You bloody-"

He cuts me off "Chill dude. It was a joke."

'Some kind of best friend.' I mumble under my breath. "You betrayed me! You- you- words can't describe the person you are. I hate you!"

I could feel my heart beat loudly, like thunder. I could feel my eyes light up in hatred. I could almost feel electricity pulsing through my body. I shook the thoughts from my head. I did too much daydreaming.

"I hate you, too. Always have." Jeremy replies in a cold tone.

I look away from him. I knew it.

"Get out!" I yell.

The sorrow-filled Jeremy shuffled out the door in the manner in which he came in. And, for the first time in a long time, a single tear rolled down my cheek. Why can't I be a sacred kid? Why won't anyone like me? Why do I have to wait so long?

HAI EVERYONE!!!! Sorry for the late update. By late, I mean REALLY late. :D Don't be mad at me! School has me busy with graduation and all. But, it's summer for me and I have lots of free time soooooo... On another note, I just published the prologue of my new story Silence. But, expect updates every Saturday for this story. Finally, the song quote was one I heard on a TV Show or something. I can't remember. But, I was too lazy to find out where it's from. So yeah, if you know, comment it on the chapter.
