Creepy as this place was, it was somehow even creepier at night, when whatever light that was in there was gone.  It was cold in the cell, and there wasn't anything that even looked like it might be warm.  Well, except VI's jacket.  That was pretty warm.  It would have been better if she could've put her arms through the sleeves.  But those cuffs kept that from happening.  Those stupid cuffs!  Her arms were really starting to hurt from being stuck like this all day!  Those dumb guards were too scared of her to take them off, even to throw her in here.  She wasn't THAT crazy!  Well, maybe she was, but still.
Well, at least, it meant she didn't have to see their ugly faces all the time.  They were too scared to even come in to give her food.  Whatever.  Vi would be here soon to get her out.  Just like she said.  That was nice to think about.  Vi was coming to get her.  She still loved her, even been protecting her by working with Caitlyn.  Where would they go once they were away from here?  Knowing Vi, she probably had it all figured out by now.  She'd let her know soon.  And she'd never leave her again.  She couldn't stop herself from smiling thinking about that.  Vi said it herself.  She'd never leave her again.
Although...  It was sure taking a long time.  She said she'd be back after dark, but...  it had been dark for a while now.  She'd be here, though.  She promised.  She wasn't...  lying.  No!  Vi wouldn't lie to her.  Not again.
"She's not coming back," Silco said in her head.
She winced.  "No, she...  She'll be here.  She promised."
"She's scared of you," laughed Mylo.  "Just like everyone.  Why you think she got you arrested?"
"She didn't mean to!  She...  She was going to help me!"
"Where is she then?" said Silco.  That, she couldn't answer.  She didn't know.  "She's not, coming, back!"  She looked down and wetted her lips.  Maybe he was right.  Maybe Vi had left h...
Some dust suddenly flew out from the back wall.  She looked up at it, her eyes widening as she saw it crack appear across it.  The next second, there was a huge crash as pieces of the wall fell onto the floor!  More crashes came, the cell suddenly filled with dust!  She coughed and turned her head away to keep it from getting in her eyes!
"Oh, God, Powder, I'm so sorry!  Are you okay?"  Vi's voice was low but frantic.
She looked up and blinked a few times, but her sister didn't disappear.  She was there, really there!  "You...  You came?"
"Yes.  Of course!  I told you I'd be back for you tonight."
"What took you..."
"I snuck over with the guards coming for me shift change.  Here, turn around a second."  She turned to the door, then head a loud CRUNCH as her arms were suddenly able to move again.  She turned back rubbing her wrists to see Vi dropping the now mangled cuffs on the floor.  "Better?"
She nodded.  "Yeah.  Thanks."
"Good.  Come on.  We can't miss the outgoing tram."  Vi turned around and ran back through the kind of tunnel she'd made in the wall.
She watched her go for a couple seconds.  This still didn't...  really feel real.  But it was.  She knew it was.  She smiled a little.  "Told you," she murmured to Mylo and Silco, then followed her out.
Outside the tunnel, Vi grabbed her hand and led her around to the corner of the building.  "Okay.  We're gonna be hanging onto the underside of the tram.  When we go up to it, I want you to Dad me, then hold on around my neck, so you won't be directly above the water.  Don't worry.  You get the easy part.  I get the fun part.  Okay?"
She giggled a little.  "Speaking of fun, you think you can get my stuff?"
Vi looked at her.  "We'll...  talk about that later.  Right now, I just wanna get you safe.  Come on now, we're gonna have to go at just the right time."  They watched as the guards got into the tram heading out, then there was a loud creak as it started moving.  "Now!  Come on!"  Vi gave her arm a bit of a pull up, then they both ran out to it!
In a flash, she was holding onto Vi's neck, and Vi had grabbed onto the bottom of the tram, bringing her legs up to hook to the runners as well.  Once she caught her breath a little, she looked down at Vi under her.  "Shhh..." said Vi.  She nodded, then smiled at her and pulled her arms a little tighter around her neck, even though she didn't really feel like she was gonna fall at all.  It just felt good to be able to hug her again.
When they got closer to the other side of the moat that surrounded the prison, Vi let go of the runner with one hand and put it on her back.  She looked at her.  "We're almost there, Powder," Vi whispered.  "Be ready to run."
"Okay."  She took a breath and stretched her legs as much as she could, groaning just a little inside.  Whenever she had to run now, it made her feel sicker.
Not long after, the tram started to grind to a halt, and Vi let both her legs drop down.  "Okay...  Now!"  Their feet hit the ground, and they were dashing out of sight to the cover of the nearest building.  "Alright.  Good.  Good."  She grabbed her stomach looking down at the ground, then felt one of the huge gauntlets resting on her shoulder.  "You okay?"
"Yeah.  Y-yeah, I'm fine."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."  She made herself stand upright and look at her sister.
"Okay...  Stay right here, I'm just gonna make sure no one's following us yet."  She gave a nod, and Vi ran out to the edge of the cover.
As she waited, she looked down at her hands.  Her wrists were still sore from being in the cuffs for so long, but what really worked her was the shaking.  It had been happening for weeks now and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't make it stop.  It had even started to make it hard to just hold things.  Even just now, she'd had to hold onto Vi with only her arms before too long.  Maybe it could be fixed.  But what if it couldn't?  What then?  Would Vi still...
Something hard suddenly poked into the middle of her back!  "Well, you're certainly not supposed to be here," said Caitlyn.  She gave a little nervous laugh.
