Sealed Away

Chapter 7

A certain black monkey now watched the group walk back home, his interest on only one person at the moment. Well, she wasn't sealed anymore that was for sure. He knew a lot about her.

"Mk, I'm bored, hey, hey, are you listening?" Mei was poking a half asleep Mk at one of their sleepovers. This one was at Mk's place, and they were having a movie marathon, and Mk was half asleep. You glanced at the two, throwing a pillow at Mei, who slapped Mk with it and he jumped awake. You snickered. "I dont know, maybe we should let him sleep Mei, lets do our nails." you offered, now standing up to go get the nail polish. Although, when you come back, Mei and Mk were both fast asleep next to each other. You smiled, they were such siblings, honestly. You turned around to go take the nail polish back when you suddenly got goosebumps. You spun around, on your guard. A shadow there. And then there. You bit your lip as you finally called out. "Whos there?" Your words were met with silence.

In the back of your mind, you already knew who it was, but you never really thought it would actually be him. You held your breath as you scanned the room once more. Everything seemed fine now. You were probably just overthinking it. You wanted to clear your head, and so heading to the balcony was the best way to go.You hummed as you leaned on the rails, before suddenly you felt someone next to you. You turned your head and almost fell over the balcony in shock. A furry hand pulled you back to safety.

"Woah there," A chuckle came form the mysterious shadow as he now stepped into some moonlight.

"Macaque.." Your breathless voice cracked as you looked up at the black furred monkey. "Yup, its me, in the flesh," He spoke with a shrug, a smirk growing on his face. Before you could stop yourself, you extended a hand to the side of his fluffy face, but then drew back. No. He shouldnt be here. Or maybe you shouldn't be here. "Macaque, you should go." You told him firmly, now turning away.

You remembered who he was. You two used to have a connection after all. But then he had decided to mess it all up. And then the lady bone demon came back, and you had been sealed. It was all too much, you had pushed your feelings aside. "Go," You said again, now shaking your head. Macaque, surprised, took a step back. "Y/n..?" His tails wung behind him slowly as he looked at you. You frowned his way. "Your only going to bring trouble here and to me, and yourself too." You tell him wisely, a bit of your brother showing in you at the moment. Macaque seemed at a los tof words, he was being rejected? By you? He stood silent, before swallowing down what he had wanted to say.

"You'll regret this," He started firmly. Before turning around so his face was facing you. "I'll see you around, Y/n." He said with a act of finality before disappearing in the shadows.

You looked at the place he had disappeared for a few minutes around, her hands being held upwards at your chest. You had just pushed him away. The one whose company you enjoyed the most. Well, used too.

And what did he mean regret?

With a sigh, you headed back inside and grabbed a blanket, covering Mk and Mei and then going to sleep on the empty bed, curling up and closing your tired eyes. Hopefully sleep would make you feel better about the growing worry and guilt inside you.
