"We need to talk about what happened last night", Marinette paced, Chat Noir sitting on the chaise.

"What about?"

"You don't think anything out of the ordinary happened last night?" Marinette paused.

Chat Noir didn't answer, nor did he even look at her.

"I can't just stand here and do nothing while you're suffering", Marinette stepped closer to him, her vision becoming blurry with tears. "Just talk to me, please. Let me help you."

Chat Noir turned away. "There's nothing you can do. I just need time to myself."

"Then there is something I can do", Marinette whispered. "I'll give you space. I'll stop calling so much, I-I'll stop leaving so many voicemails, I'll do anything possible that you need me to do."

Chat Noir, once again, stayed silent.

"You can't keep it all inside, you know? Bottling it up won't do any good-"

"You don't understand", Chat Noir said firmly, cutting her off.

"Make me understand", Marinette returned the firm tone. "Don't do this to yourself, don't push everyone away. Especially when all I want to do is help you."

"What do you want from me?" Chat Noir stood up, beginning to walk away.

"I want an answer, dammit!" Marinette yelled after him.

"For what? I don't owe you anything", Chat Noir continued walking away.

Marinette let out a frustrated sigh. "You're not leaving, are you?"

"Yes."

"Please just stay", Marinette began going after him.

Chat Noir turned around, pointing at himself than at her. "You think this will make me stay? Arguing?"

Marinette met his eyes. "Stay. For me", she whispered, letting the tears fall. "Don't leave. Don't avoid me, please."

"Don't make this harder than it already is", Chat Noir ran a hand through his hair.

"Are you mad at me? What did I do?" Marinette whispered, holding back her cries as best as she could.

Chat Noir turned his back on her, shutting his eyes to hide his pain. "I can't do this anymore, just let me go."

"Will you at least look at me?" Marinette raised her voice, frustrated. Wanting answers. "You don't even see me!"

"It's better this way, Marinette", Chat Noir replied, but still not meeting her eyes.

"You told me you loved me. Will you at least say you do now?" Marinette couldn't hold back her tears anymore.

"I can't do this right now, I can't say what you want me to say", Chat Noir covered his face with his hands.

"Lie to me then", Marinette begged. "Please just say something, do something!"

Chat Noir didn't answer, he didn't know how to.

"Are you even listening to me?" Marinette asked, her frustration boiling inside of her. "You're different, now. You're not the same. You used to come to me for everything. But now, you're hiding from me, avoiding me. You can't even answer a simple fucking text message I send or even a voicemail. Stop running from your feelings!"

"Marinette, I can't-", he paused, holding himself together.

"Promise me you'll at least let me help you if you just talk to me", Marinette pleaded.
