3 years later...

"I hope you know that I can't think straight with you", Chat Noir sighed as he rested his head on Marinette's shoulder, watching her work on designs. "You make me mess up sentences, my mind go blur, you name it."

Marinette laughed, kissing his forehead. "Now you're distracting me from actually working."

"I bet you didn't feel me lick your ear", Chat Noir laughed.

"Ew", Marinette nudged him away. "So immature."

"What are you talking about? I'm very mature", Chat Noir poked her nose.

"Right, my mistake", Marinette rolled her eyes. "Why don't you go take a shower or something so you don't bother me."

Chat Noir hummed, jamming his hands in his pockets. "You see, I would. But you should probably join me. It'll save water."

Marinette spun her chair around to meet his eyes, her jaw almost on the floor.

Chat Noir folded his arms and leaned against the ladder in her room, a smirk on his face expressing his amusement. "Yes?"

"Don't look at me like that", Marinette suppressed a smile. "My parents are sleeping."

"Fine, guess I'll just shower. By myself", Chat Noir made his way to the bathroom before being stopped by Marinette kissing him in the hallway.

"You are unbelievable", Chat Noir sighed into her mouth as he picked her up, taking her with him.

-------------------------

"You think about the future, right?" Chat Noir asked Marinette as they lie in her bed, his arm around her head as it rests on his chest.

"Sometimes", Marinette admitted, playing with the bell on his collar.

"Am I in it?" Chat Noir asked hopefully. He almost regretted asking when Marinette froze and hesitated to answer.

"Yes", she whispered, glancing up at him. "You're in it."

Chat Noir planted a kiss on her head, playing with her hair. "I love you."

Marinette got up, sitting on the other side of the bed, pretending to be mad. "No you don't."

Chat Noir sat up. "Get back over here."

"Make me", Marinette challenged.

Chat Noir went over to her, picking her up and placing her back where they were. Marinette laughed as Chat Noir tickled her waist. "That's what happens when you leave me."

"Okay, okay. But you never said I was in your future", Marinette's laugh faded.

"Marinette", Chat Noir tilted his head. "Princess, of course you're in it. I've told you before, I live and breathe for you everyday. I love you with everything in me."

"But I feel like we don't about the future much", Marinette said. "Like, we're 18 now. We should talk about our future together, don't you think?"

"That's what I was trying to do", Chat Noir smiled. "What are you plans?"

"I want to go to school for fashion designing", Marinette smiled as she explained her passions. Chat Noir was happy to listen because he knew how excited she was about it. "What about you?"

"I......don't know. I'm not sure yet", Chat Noir admitted, a hint of sadness in his tone.

"That's okay", Marinette reassured. "I think 18 is a young age to have it all figured out, you know? I mean, I only know what I want to do because it's been my whole life."

"The only I am sure of is that if I want anything in my future, it's you", Chat Noir tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. Marinette smiled, kissing his nose. "Tomorrow night, I want to take you somewhere."

"Where?"

"It's a surprise, dummy", Chat Noir smiled, messing with her hair. "Just trust me."

"Chat Noir, that is not a hard ask", Marinette glanced up at him. "You're the only one I can trust."

"That makes two of us", Chat Noir smiled.

------------------------------

A knock was heard at Marinette's trapdoor as she finished getting ready for their surprise date. She practically ran up the steps of her ladder, excited as to what he had planned for her.

"Hey", Marinette smiled as she opened the trapdoor to let him in.

"Hi, beautiful", Chat Noir kissed her forehead. "You ready?"

"Yes, I am", Marinette said as she grabbed her purse. "Am I allowed to know yet what this date is?"

"Not until we get there", Chat Noir smiled, holding his hand out for her to take. "Come on."

"What, no blindfold?" Marinette jokingly questioned as Chat Noir hugged her from behind.

"Actually, that's a great idea", Chat Noir whispered, smirking in her ear.

"I wasn't serious", Marinette complained. "Forget I said that."

Chat Noir ignored her. He found a piece of cloth in her art drawer and wrapped it around her eyes. "There. Now you won't ever be able to see where we're going."

"This sounds like a kidnapping", Marinette laughed.

"You mean a "cat"-napping", Chat Noir teased.

"I meant what I said", Marinette stated flatly.

"Okay, okay", Chat Noir put his hands up defensively before wrapping his arm around her waist, guiding her to the balcony. "Let's go".

"Please don't tell me you're using your baton for transportation and I have to go through with this blindfolded", Marinette pleaded.

"If we weren't doing it that way, then it wouldn't be my style. No worries, you'll be okay. You trust me, right?" Chat Noir extended the baton and leapt off her balcony before she could answer.

"I never said yes!", Marinette screamed, the wind clashing their ears.

"It was a rhetorical question", Chat Noir screamed back, holding a laugh.

They arrived at the top of the Eiffel Tower where a dinner was set for two and rose petals were dispersed everywhere. Candles were lit and the sun had just started to set. Chat Noir gave Marinette a quick peck before removing the blindfold.

Marinette stared at it, unable to produce any words. She didn't have to say anything though, not anymore. Before, her silence would've made Chat Noir upset because he'd think she didn't like it. But now that they've been together for 3 years, Chat Noir is able to read every facial expression she displays. He knows she loves it and is completely in shock that she can't come up with words to express it. He can see the glimmer in her eyes of gratefulness and appreciation she has for him. Her mouth is slightly dropped as she stares in amazement.

Marinette knows she doesn't have to say anything. She knows that Chat Noir knows her better than anyone and he can read her expressions like no one else can.

"Come here", Chat Noir gestured to a chair at the table in which he pulled out for her to sit in. Once she was settled, he pushed in her chair and sat on the opposite side of her.

"You really are the best", Marinette gushed. "I hope you know that."

"Only the best for you", Chat Noir reached for her hand across the table and gently squeezed it.
