The week was almost coming to an end and soon she will be back home. She sighed, she somehow had come to love it here, not that she didn't like it back there at her aunt's but she would be lonely when she leaves for work and she was going to miss joy and Asher badly especially Joy, "that girl is a vibe"she chuckled softly as she thought of joy.
Then there is Asher, he is a great company also but at times he seems to suddenly withdraw into his shell, "Is he bipolar" she thought. Joy had teased her endlessly after she saw them playing ludo at the balcony, and later that evening she had begged her to cut soap for her.. lols.
Her phone beeped signifying a message, she swiped her screen and open WhatsApp.
Jide: "Hello pretty" the message read
Ivy: "Jide what's up" she typed back
She had given him her contact the other day she went out with joy to buy something at the supermarket which happens to be Jide mom's and somehow they had become friends after meeting severally in the basketball court.
Jide: "I'm cool I will be coming over to see James, want some chicken pie and smoothie" he asked
Ivy: Yes please I'm bored
Jide: So eating is your way out of boredom?
Ivy: Yes😋😋😋
Jide: Lols foodie
Ivy: Unapologetically a foodie 😋😋
Jide: See you in ten dear plus I'm bringing ludo I'm going to beat you at it
Ivy: No probs I just hope you come along with a face cap so you will use in covering your face in shame when am done whooping your ass
Jide: 😂😂😂😂😂 You so hilarious.
Ivy: "✌️✌️✌️"After typing that she exited WhatsApp and went to the sitting room to watch TV before jide's arrival
Guess who decided to come down" Asher asked in mocked suprise
"No one but me" she replied with her tone dripping with sacarsm.
He watched her from the side of his eyes as she sat with her legs crossed.
she has been radiating bad energy recently and he wondered why,her recent attitude was not pleasing to him so he decided to ask her why
"Ivie why are you radiating old witch vibes these days" he asked with a playful voice
"Old witch vibes as how"
"Lately you have been keeping to your self and stuff,not that we are that close but sometimes we do get along and joke about random stuffs but recently you seems to be acting in a way that makes me think something is up" he opened up honestly causing it has been a burden to him, he now consider her a friend he can relate freely with.
"Heloooo, Am I speaking to someone" he asked waving his hands in front of her face
"See Asher you are so rude and sometimes your attitude is annoying,to top it up whenever your friends are around you always like being bossy and controlling and would not want me to talk freely with them"
"Oh that, I'm sorry for me attitude but the see for the other ones I display when my friends are around? I'm not sorry at all cause it for your own good,I know they are my friend but I know what they are capable of doing with girls especially Jide,so you have to be careful"he said with a note of finality
She sat trying to process the last part,he could be right after all boys are somehow unpredictable, but why does he seems to care about her? I mean if he doesn't he wouldn't want to protect her from his friends" her cheeks warmed to the thought of that.
