-So... how was your day? - I ask him.

-Very long. - he said with a sigh.

-I understand, it will be non-stop for me, I cannot imagine how it will be for you... - I cross my arms to protect my hands from the cold while we walk.

-But I'm grateful for this opportunity. It's worth it. -he does the same with his arms.

-It's still cold at night.

-In Finland it's worse, we couldn't walk with only those clothes.

-That makes me wonder...the reason for not wearing a shirt, is it like "a thing" for you? Because it's the first time seeing you completely dressed, with a jacket and everything.

He let out a loud laugh, I clearly caught him off guard.

-Yes, I always take my shirt off in my performances.

-Always, even in winter ?

-Maybe... - he smiles to himself and I couldn't resist punching his arm playfully.

-You don't miss a chance. - we both laugh and he rubs his arm. - and.. how do you say "thank you" in finnish?

-Kiitos, why?

-And thank you for accompanying me ?

-Ah, nono, you don't have to say thank you to me. We are at the same hotel.

-Yes I know, but you didn't have to, you could go back whenever you want, but you are here. Kiitos.

He looks at the floor, at me, and again at the floor.

-Ole hyvä...

...

Shortly after we arrived at the hotel.

Inside there's only the receptionist that works at night, behind her I see the clock indicating five am and she greeted us.

On the way to the stairs and elevator there's a hidden chill out zone with a sofa, two armchairs in front of it, a tea table between them, a large lamp that dimly illuminates the area and one vending machine with some cans and snacks.

-Well, I suppose we say goodbye here. - Says Jere.

-You don't want to go to your room? - I say pointing at the elevator.

Jere took a seat on the sofa, I looked at him wondering what he's doing.

-I dont have the keys.

-What?

-My brother has them.

So he really just came here because of me.

-Ill wait with you then !

-Nooo no no, go to sleep, it's late.

-You walked with me and I'll wait with you untill your brother comes.

I sit in front of him in one of the two armchairs.

-Thank you, I'll send him a message.

-Ok, in the meantime you can teach me some Finnish.

-What do you want to know? - he says sending the message with a little smile on his face, he seems tired but happy.

-The important words, like kittos, you're welcome, where's the library and...

-And the bad words ? - he looks at me without moving his head.

-Yes! - I laugh.

-Yeah, those are the really important words. - he leaves his mobile phone at one side and looks directly at me. - My brother will be here in an hour, we should start the Finnish class.
