Over the next few days, Midoriya and his friends went back to their daily lives and helped with the preparations for the festival. Bakugou and his group took small jobs in the city to also help with the festival prep; they were mostly to help pay for food and anything else while staying with Inko. Also during this time, Midoriya was getting ready for his heat.
Up in his room, Midoriya was taking stock of his kitchen and his nesting things. Before he left to head North he had cleaned out the perishables but now he had to stock up. Since he got back he's been eating out either at his mom's, out with friends, or with Bakugou. Though, with his heat coming, he needed food and water soon. He already informed the building owner so she had a heads up, as well as the commander who was in charge of those from the populace who fought when the city was attacked. Thankfully, Hawks was an understanding leader, and even with Midoriya being an Omega, he never treated him as anything less.
List in hand, Midoriya left, heading to the market. Couple streets away, he met up with Bakugou and the two of them chatted all the way to the market, and while Midoriya shopped. It was good talking to each other with seven years to make up for. They shared stories, talked about fights they were in, how Midoriya got to be part of the civilian ranks, when Bakugou became the high commander, and much more. For the two of them it was more than just catching up, it was bonding time for them.
While walking back, Midoriya stopped for a few seconds looking at a storefront, but soon started walking again. Bakugou had stopped too, and was going to ask if everything was okay, but Midoriya just smiled at him and continued to talk about some of the things that were usually at the Autumn Festival. Once back at Midoriya's building, they said goodbye. Bakugou waited till he saw a light on in his window, it was on the fourth floor facing the street; seeing the light, he turned to leave.
"Excuse me, young man," an older woman's voice said behind him. He turned to see a short woman, probably in her seventies or eighties, walking towards him from the same building Midoriya lives in.
"Yeah, what is it?" Bakugou asked.
"You've been coming about the last several days, and I was wondering what you are wanting with my tenet Izuku? He's a nice young man, and it's thanks to him that my other tenets feel safer here. These omega only buildings were built to give Omegas somewhere safe to live, but alphas still came to harass those living here and other buildings, try to get in, hit on them when they come and go. It was bad for a while. But soon after Izuku moved in, one of the alphas that came regularly tried to hit on Izuku. Quite a crowd gathered to watch the fight, or at least that's what most thought it would turn to. In seconds that alpha was pinned to the ground with his arms held behind his back. Since then, the number of incidents has decreased. So, do I need to worry that you're planning something?" The lady asked.
Bakugou looked at this woman then back up to the fourth floor window. He smirked as he answered the lady. "Only thing I plan on doing is Courting him and eventually becoming mates." With that he walked away towards the gate, his smirk still in place.
The next day Bakugou had been walking around after helping some people working on something for the festival. He just passed the market when he stopped in front of the store that caught Midoriya's attention the day before. It was a store catered to omegas, and in the window was something that caught his eye.
A few days later Midoriya was hold-up in his room, his nest in the corner where he usually sleeps. He could feel it coming so he had notified the owner who usually helped him notify the commander that he was officially on leave. Granny also usually checked up on those in heat and made sure everyone had food and water or anything else they needed. This time, she came up and knocked on his door. When he opened it up, she had a parcel in her hands, a box wrapped in red paper.
