Gwen and Y/n emerge on the street at which an explosion had rocked, Gwen looks like she had just rolled out of bed and Y/n appears as if he is a mega fan of the former with his choice of T-Shirt.

Y/n: Oh, it's you again.

Tearing up the streets is the Hulk's nemesis: Abomination. Now that Banner is occupied on Sakaar, there is nothing to stop his adversaries from wreaking havoc.

Gwen Poole: HEY! You interrupted my beauty sleep! I mean, not like I needed it... obviously.

Abomination turns, he does not recognise Gwen out of costume, though Y/n's is indeed a face he can draw a memory from.

Abomination: You... you're Squirrel Girl's friend!

Y/n: Uh oh.

Abomination: I'm gonna get you!

Abomination picks up a car, a young family inside- very distressed. The brute throws the car at the pair- Y/n grabs Gwen and turns, ensuring that his life would be a viable sacrifice for the continuation of hers. Just as the car is to splat his skull like a watermelon: time seems to stop, every living thing frozen like someone and hit the pause button.

???: Hmm, easy enough.

Amongst the frozen scene, a man walks, completely unaffected by the stopping of time. He wears a white jumpsuit alongside some goggles, although his defining feature is easily his silver hair.

???: Well, well. What do we have here?

He stares up at Abomination, he places one of the beast's hands so that it looks like he is picking his nose, using the other to make the Abomination give himself a wedgie.

???: Classic.

He looks next to the family inside the flying car, he unbuckles them one by one, placing them safely on the sidewalk one by one. He licks his thumb before wiping some dirt off of the daughter's face and straightening her collar.

???: If you're gonna get saved, do it in style.

Finally, he looks to Y/n and Gwen, in immediate danger of being crushed by the vehicle. He first takes Y/n away, studying the man as he does indeed recognise him. His attention then turns to Gwen.

???: Well, hello there.

The man kisses her hand before moving her out of harms way, positioning Y/n so that his lover is holding him bridal style. His final move is to clear the cars way- ensuring the survival of pedestrians.

???: And... scene!

Real time resumes, the family stumbles as they realise their new position, the car tumbles across the road- not hitting a single person. Abomination gives himself a wedgie as his finger plunges up his nose and Y/n looks around confused as Gwen holds him in his arms.

???: I hope they have insurance...

Y/n notices the mystery man, hopping down out of Gwen's arms and matching up to him, slowly coming to recognise the figure.

Y/n: I know you. You're Wanda's sister. Peter, right?

???: Pietro, but you can call me Quicksilver.
