Unknown to either Jedi, Anakin's master, Obi-Wan Kenobi was around the corner when he heard their conversation. Feeling the need to protect and look out for the two younger Jedi, Obi-Wan decides to talk to Emerae about the developments he overheard.
"Emerae, we need to talk," Obi-Wan draws Emerae from her thoughts. "I overheard your conversation with Anakin earlier, and I must say, it concerns me greatly. The emotions you expressed... they are conflicting and complex."
"Master Kenobi, I... I didn't mean for this to happen. I never wanted to cause any confusion or conflict between us. It's just that..." A deep blush covered her face.
"It's just that you are harboring feelings for someone, aren't you? I never expected this revelation, Emerae. It complicates matters even further." Obi-Wan strokes his beard.
"I'm sorry, Master Kenobi. I never intended for any of this to happen. It's just... my emotions have become entangled, and I'm struggling to make sense of them."
"The Jedi Code warns against romantic attachments, Emerae. It cautions us about the dangers they can pose to our judgment and our ability to remain true to the light side. This is a path we cannot allow ourselves to venture down."
"I understand, Master. I've been wrestling with this conflict, torn between my Jedi training and the emotions I feel. I never wanted to betray our principles or cause harm." She insists honestly.
"I believe you, Emerae. But we must confront the truth of our feelings and the impact they could have on our roles as Jedi. It's imperative that we prioritize our duty and the greater good above personal desires."
"You're right. I must find clarity and recommit myself to the Jedi path. But what about Anakin? Have you noticed anything unusual about him? He confided in me about his attachment to Padme..."
"Anakin's attachment to Senator Amidala has always been a concern of mine. But I never anticipated that it could lead him down a dark path. If what you say is true, we must act swiftly to prevent further tragedy."
"What should we do, Master?" Emerae's heart begins to race as she worries for her friend.
"I will confront Anakin, face the truth, and do everything in my power to bring him back from the edge. As for you, Emerae, I need you to stay behind at the Jedi Temple. Keep a vigilant eye and report any suspicious activities."
"Yes, Master Kenobi. But what if Anakin looks for me? What should I do then?"
"If Anakin approaches you, stay calm, but be cautious. Do not allow your emotions to cloud your judgment. Inform me immediately, and we will handle the situation together."
"I understand, Master Kenobi. I will be on high alert and inform you of any developments. May the Force guide us through these troubled times.
"May the Force be with you, Emerae. Stay strong, trust in your training, and remember that our duty as Jedi transcends personal attachments." Obi-Wan smiles.
"May the Force be with you too, Master."
The two go their separate ways unsure of what might happen next. Emerae, worried for Anakin's future and Obi-Wan hoping he isn't too late.
