After we tried to summon Valerie's spirit, I couldn't sleep at all. I refused to check the time as it would've made me feel worse about how little sleep I would be getting. I opened the door for my room and entered the hall. While in the hall, I noticed that Funneh's room door was opened. I peered into the room and saw Funneh sound asleep and snoring. I was glad that at least one person in this dorm could actually go to sleep. I was still a little freaked out by what happened in Ichigo Bakery and Cafe. Valerie had actually responded to us! It was nice to be able to talk to Valerie, even if we only talked for a short amount of time, but it was scary to know that spirits actually do exist. The knowledge of the killer having I in their name made it even worse. Yeah, it was nice to have some clue of who murdered Valerie and all of the other girls, but it drove the thought that the killer is in the school and anyone of us could get murdered further into my brain. I walked down to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of milk in hopes that it would help me go to sleep. I opened the fridge quietly, making sure I wouldn't wake Funneh up. The inside of the refrigerator was chilly, yet comforting. It reminded me of Canada in some way. I grabbed the milk and poured it into a glass. I looked at the glass of milk. It reminded me of an endless white void that you could just float in forever and ever and ever. I'm acting kind of strange. I never thought that I would be philosophical and stuff but here I was, over thinking about milk.
I didn't feel any better after drinking the milk so I went back upstairs. I opened my door and noticed my phone lit up. I quickly walked to my phone so I could check what was causing it to light up. To my surprise, it was the group chat Funneh made for herself, me, Kyran, Evan, and Alec. I was kind of shocked to know that everyone but Funneh was still awake at 1 am. I opened my messages and was greeted with a bunch of chaotic messages.

I turned off my phone with a smile on my face. I knew I probably was not gonna get a good night sleep but talking with my friends made me feel happy and at ease. I lay on my bed, closing my eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.
