NINE

"Shinobu-sama!" Lady Kanae exclaimed as Shinobu entered her room. 

"Ah, good evening. I apologize for my late presence. My tutors kept me longer than expected today." The daughter of Kibutsuji said as she took a seat.

"Oh, it is quite alright. How much time do you have today?" Lady Kanae asked.

"Hmm," Lady Shinobu hesitated, "I daresay I have at least an hour. I have merely one afternoon lesson on history, since my other professor had an urgent meeting to attend." 

"Ah, then that would be enough to cover most basics and do review of previous lessons." 

"What are we on now?" Shinobu asked.

"Well, do you remember the lesson on creating a wisteria force field to protect yourself?" Lady Kanae thought they'd learn the combat skills before creation, medicine, etc.

"Ah, let me see. I do recall forming a spear or dagger... ah yes. The mind order?"  Shinobu tapped the book on the table and stood up. "As I order, wisteria blood, act on in a sentence of protection of the forces of a force field." 

As those words left her mouth, her mind was working on the thought and positions she ought to have done.

The power of Wisteria only worked with full concentration, a blank mind with nothing other than what was ordered, and the motions of a hand.

Purple blood dripped from the pure skin of Shinobu's hand, though there was no exposed hole for the blood to have been leaked out. The wisteria magic she had put on her eyes to keep her secret wore off. 

A massive clear purple force field surrounded the lady. 

"Now bring the force field back down!" Kanae ordered.

Calm, bring it down... um..

"Ah, please may you remind me of this order? I cannot recall!" She couldn't hold on much longer. If a Wisteria held out its magic for too long, it may pass out.

Blood or poisonous blood amount had to be thought through before putting the effort in. There was also the explosive

Explosive blood was a Wisteria user's last resort. If they were facing eternal trouble of battle, they'd use it. However, it may be used on accident if the amount of blood wasn't thought through. This process of the explosive blood would take a Wisteria's life.

"I order this, wisteria blood, for safety, cease and be gone from the world. Return to the blood that runs!" Kanae yelled, for the sake of Lady Shinobu's safety.

Shinobu calmed herself down.

Fortunately, the force field died down.

Lady Shinobu sat down.

"Wow, I've never seen such extraordinary force field made by a Wisteria!" Lady Kanae exclaimed, "All you shall have to work on is causing the field to cease."

"My apologizes. I almost destroyed your bedchambers." Shinobu sheepishly apologized.

"Ah, no worries!"

"So, is there any other ability you'd like to teach me?" 

"Well," Lady Kanae explained, "I considered the wisteria wings. I suppose you'd like to try, since it, I admit, is very helpful for escaping danger if you can levitate it fast..."

Suddenly, they heard running steps. Lady Kanae proceeded quickly to the door. As she looked through, Shinobu knew she was using the Wisteria "invisible prediction vines" to predict whoever it was's moves.
