Our secret ~ a Landrew story

Part 17 - Lexi R

I get to the hospital and call Brent and Pierson to tell them what happened.

"Brent Andrew got stabbed!" I tell him while crying.

"Oh my god. Is he okay?" He asks me.

"I don't know! Just please come to the hospital with me." I say and cry even more.

"I'm on my way. I'll pick up Pierson." He says and then hangs up. I look over at Aaliyah and see that she's asleep. "Aaliyah I hope your dad is okay."

"For Andrew Davila?" A nurse comes out of a room and says.

"I'm here." I say and quickly stand up.

"Okay so Andrew is going to be perfectly fine. He did lose a lot of blood but thankfully we had a donor. The doctors stitched him up. You could go and see him now." She tells me. I grab Aaliyah's car seat and the nurse walks me to Andrew's room.  I open the door and see that he was hooked up to some IV's.

"Andrew!" I say and quickly go to him. I place Aaliyah on the chair next to the bed and started crying right away.

"Hey baby." He says.

"You scared me so much. I thought you were dead!" I tell him and grab his hand.

"I'm fine, don't worry. I wouldn't leave you and Aaliyah." He tells me and squeezes my hand for reassurance. "Please stop crying. I hate to see you like this." He says.

"I was so scared." I tell him and put my head on the bed.

"Come here." He says and pulls me on the bed with him. He hugs me tightly. Aaliyah starts getting fussy so I go and take her out of her car seat.

"Look baby. It's dada." I tell her and point at Andrew.

"Can I hold her?" He asks me so I give Aaliyah to him. "I missed you princess." He tells her and kisses her forehead.

"I'm so glad you're okay." I tell him and hold his hand. I hear the door open and I turn around to see Brent and Pierson at the door.

"Oh my god Andrew are you okay?" Pierson comes up to Andrew.

"I'm fine I just got some stitches on my stomach." He tells her and raises up his gown.

"Lexi you seemed super scared in the phone." Brent tells me and rubs my back.

"I was. I thought he was gonna die." I say and look down.

"How'd this even happen?" Brent asks.

"We went to the grocery store to get some stuff and then the auf in the intercom said that there was some guy with a knife." Andrew explains while rubbing Aaliyah's back. "We hid in the bathroom for like 10 minutes and then we heard the guy coming in so I ran towards him to take the knife away and I got stabbed."

"He was just trying to protect me and Aaliyah." I say and play with her hair.

"That's crazy! Did they arrest the guy already?" Pierson asks us.

"Yeah the minute the guy stabbed Andrew, the cops came in and arrested him." I tell them.

"How long are you gonna be in here?" Brent asks Andrew.

"For a few days. I'm probably gonna be out by Friday. (It's currently Wednesday.) They just need to keep an eye on me and make sure I'm okay because I lost a lot of blood." He says.

"If you need anything, we're here." Brent tells him and smiles. They leave 10 minutes later.

"Are you gonna stay the night here?" He asks me.

"I don't think so. I would but Aaliyah is only a few days old so it's not really safe for her to be here all night." I tell him. "Sorry babe."

"It's fine, I was gonna tell you to go home anyways." He says and kisses me. He glanced over at his phone and looks back at me.

"It's already 8. It's getting late for you guys to be out." He tells me. "You should get going Lex."

"Okay I'll be back tomorrow." I say and kiss him. "Say bye to dada Aaliyah." I tell her and I take her away from Andrew.

"Bye princess. I love you both. Call me when you get home babe." He tells me as I put Aaliyah into her car seat.

"I love you too Andrew." I say and walk out of the room. I drive back home feeling a bit more relieved. I was freaking out when I got to the hospital because I thought he was gonna die, but now that I saw that he was okay I feel better.
