Sometimes you don't feel feel it happening
sometimes you do
for me, the times you don't feel it coming are the worst.
it goes by many names
i tend to call it the demon
it takes joy in seeing me suffer
slowly, it along with its strength start to fade
it becomes infuriated as it feels the strength slowly fading away
They feel like they must have control at all times
They wait until you no longer feel them
They want you to feel comfortable
trick you into thinking you have a hold on things
Once you feel comfortable and like everything is fine; they attack
They sneak up wrapping their arms and legs around you whispering things into your ears
things you believe are truths
but they aren't
they're lies
'They don't want you'
'They don't like you'
You make them feel disgusted'
'They only deal with you because they feel bad for you'
'they feel bad for you that's the only reason they're here.'
then when you think it's over and they have nothing left to say, they deal the final blow
'you know. they'd be better without you. maybe you should end it. they wouldn't miss you. they never even loved you.'
They never want you to know the real truth
They do want you
They do like you
They don't feel bad for you
the demon doesn't want you to know your worth
Because the real truth is that they can't live without you
they need you
Sometimes the demon win
Sometimes they lose
Sometimes they stay around forever and remind you of the lies they made up to keep themselves alive
