It's funny how I would stumble over things you would say
If you needed me, i would drop everything to save you
I gave up parts of myself for you
little did i know
You didn't need to be saved
You were just crying wolf
acting like a hurt and scared animal
I picked you with no knowledge of your plans
all the red flags looked rose colored
they were hiding behind the nice gestures
soon it felt like i was always fighting to be seen as a human
To be heard
I never saw you for the wolf in sheep's clothing that you were
Laughing behind my back
Telling everyone how annoying I was
How much of a drunk I was
Once I saw you for what you were
I decided to fight back
I thought i would lose
the life started draining from me
weakness was taking over my body
But i started remembering what i was fighting for
remembered who i was
After that
I grabbed my sword and charged into battle
it was a long and fierce battle
this time i made you retreat
i came out on top
