The Other Side | Minsung

The final stretch

Not long and Chans phone alarm went off to show it was 12:00. 2 members were still missing and Jeongin was about to say something when the door opened and the doctor and Changbin came into the room.
"Is everyone here?" The doctor asked.
"No. Jisung's not here yet" Minho said quickly.
The doctor didn't know what to say and looked at Chan.
"Tell us the procedure. Jisung doesn't need to be here for that" Chan said and the doctor nodded and opened his folder.
Chan leaned over to Minho.
"Where is Jisung? Is he still not back from the shops?" Chan asked.
"I don't think so. One moment I'll call him" Minho said and walked to the other end of the room.
He called Jisung and held the phone to his ear.

Ring. Ring. Ring.
Jisung was startled by his phone as he was about to talk to the men on the floor. He looked to see it was Minho. He answered.
"Jisung we're are you it's 12:00" Minho asked.
Jisung alarmed looked at the top of his screen.
"Shit" he said to himself before putting the phone back to his ear.
"I'm nearly done I'll get there as soon as I can" Jisung said.
"Hurry. You don't have long" Minho said and Jisung could hear small bits of fear creeping up in Minhos voice as he ended the call.

He felt bad for lying to Minho but what he had to do was more important. He believed the doctor would save Seungmin and he would get to talk to him again but now he had to do this. He had to do this for himself.
If he was quick enough he might barely make it. He just can't monologue.
"When you monologue you die" Jisung said to himself cracking his neck.

He put his phone away and looked back at the men.
"I'm looking for a Jim" Jisung said keeping his face unreadable.

"What why do you want to see him?" One man stood up and walked towards Jisung clearly ready to stop Jisung from going any further.
"Pete stop it" a voice echoed around the alley and the man looked back then turned to the side to let's the one who spoke through.
"Your looking for me?" Jim said stepping forward portraying an intimidating aura.
Before this would have scared Jisung but not anymore.

"Im just here to settle a score. Nothing more" Jisung said still hidden by his hood.
"Oh yeah. Well who the fuck are you" Jim said reaching into his pocket and pulling out a knife.
"Your worst fucking nightmare" Jisung pulled down his hood revealing who he was.
Jim gasped surprised.
"You. You killed our boss" Jim's face darkened and the other men stood up and surrounded Jisung. Jim stepped back and allowed the 5 men to surround him while he stood back.
"Yeah I killed your boss. What the fuck you gonna do about it" Jisung smiled and raised his fists.
"Get him" Jim ordered and the men all charged.

"Where the hell is Jisung he needs to be here now" Chan said as he looked at his watch.
"Give him 5 more minutes please" Minho said trying to convince Chan.
"It's not my call Minho" Chan said looking at the doctor who was ready.
"I can't wait any longer" the doctor said and got everyone to step backwards. All of them had agreed to be in the room and said they would not interfere in what the doctor does no matter what.
The doctor got one of the nurses by him with the defibrillator. They had to make sure they could try everything even if it might not help.
He was given the needle and he flicked it with his hand before beginning to insert the needle into Seungmins skin. He slowly injected the liquid as Seungmins heart remained at its constant rhythm.

At first nothing happened and the doctor stood back until Seungmins heart beat began to get faster and faster.

"Your too slow" Jisung moved as fast as he could. The men were no match for him. They were just weak foot soldiers. He would be afraid of hurting people but these had tried to hurt those he cared about and that anger stopped him from feeling anything towards these men.
It wasn't long before he was face to face with Jim.
"Come on you pussy" Jisung put his two fingers out beckoning Jim towards him "you couldn't beat me before. You shouldn't even try".

Jisung's face contorted into a smirk as he saw himself getting under Jim's skin.
Jim ran at him in anger and punched him straight in the face. Jisung staggered backwards and wiped his lips revealing some blood on his fingertips.
"Pathetic" Jisung said and swung his leg kicking him in the face.

Seungmins heart beat rose and rose into deadly levels and the gang held their breath as they could hear Seungmins breathing getting heavier and see the sweat begin to form on his face.
He took one heavy breath before he stopped laying still on the bed. The heart monitor flatlined and the doctor grabbed straight onto the defibrillator.
"We only have three attempts. Come on Seungmin you can do this" the doctor said as he began to charge the machine.
"Clear" he yelled.

Seungmins body shocked upwards spiking his heart rhythm.
Jisung slammed Jim in the face toppling him to the ground.

It didn't work so the doctor did it again. Seungmins heart rhythm spiked.
Jisung dug his foot into Jim's chest as Jim yelled out in pain.

Third time lucky.
"COME ON SEUNGMIN" Felix yelled as the doctor got ready for the last attempt.

The doctor shocked him once more and his heart spiked.
Jisung grabbed the item he had taken from the basement and held it in his hand. A gun.
"You chose the wrong team" Jisung said.

He aimed it at Jim's head and heard his pleads for his life. Jisung didn't care. He wasn't going to be the same boy before who was burden. He'd become better.

The gun went off and Jim flew backwards onto the ground, his eyes becoming a glassy white.
His heart stopped. His life ended.

Seungmins heart suddenly burst to life.

His heart rhythm returned to normal as he head began to slowly shake from side to side. He took in a deep breath and opened his eyes blinking fast.
He looked around confused and turned his head to the left to see Jeongins face a few inches from him.
Seungmin recoiled in shock and flinched in pain.

"Ouch" Seungmin hissed.
"Sorry" Jeongin gave a wide smile.
"I've avoided death from a bullet and now your trying to kill me by scaring me to death" Seungmin said horsely and coughed "jeez what a way to thank me for not dying".
"Yep Seungmins back" Minho folded his arms and sighed.
