The Other Side | Minsung

Fear

Jisung fell against the wall and caught his breath before turning and running through the corridor straight to his room. He closed the door and fell against it taking in deep breaths. He closed his eyes until he had steadied himself before staring up at the ceiling. 
He held in his tears and tried to forget about what had just happened. Over everything he felt angry at himself. He felt pathetic, stupid and arrogant. All this time he had been tricked because of how naive he was.

At first he wanted to just sit in the room and cry but he didn't want to be any worse than he already was. He sucked up his feelings and sat down on his bed. He didn't have time to mourn.
Luckily he never brought anything when he arrived here so he didn't need to take anything with him. He was going to leave.
He knew after what he heard Blake say he would never let him out so he was going to take it into his own hands. He knew getting out the front door was a big no no so he racked his head.
He knew when he was walking to get food he saw a bunch of men taking a smoke break. If he got out that door he could try and get out through the woods. Since this place was so secluded they were surrounded by wilderness to keep them hidden.

He laid back on his bed. He would wait until there were less people walking around. He would wait until it was night where there was only minimum patrols. Then he would make his move.

"This plan is going to get us all killed" Hyunjin said taking a bite of a sandwich.
"If it's so bad let's here your idea genius" Seungmin said.
"Hey I said it would get us killed. I never said I had a better idea" Hyunjin defended himself.
"I do have to agree with Hyunjin. We are all going to die" Jeongin said.
"Way to be optimistic guys" Felix rolled his eyes.

"So it's decided then" Chan said "we are going with this plan".
"Yea I'd say so" Changbin said and the others nodded.
"Okay good. I'll go over it one more time" Chan said and pointed at the base schematics.
"We enter through this point. It gives us the most cover from the trees and gives us the most time between patrols. If we are lucky we can sneak in without getting caught but it's not likely we can stay hidden for long. The second we are in we will start by going to the west wing to find Jisung as he is most likely to be stationed here. If not we need to make our way through here" Chan moved his finger along the building schematics "good for us he won't be in this entire section because it's all staff and members".
"And if we get spotted?" Minho asked already having an idea on what to do.
"We run and shoot like hell" Chan said.
"Okay never mind we are going to die" Felix nodded his head slowly.
"Hold on. You were being optimistic earlier" Hyunjin said.
"Yeah well too bad" Felix drank all the milk in his cup at once.

"We will leave in 1 hour. I will check you all before you leave and I expect you all to be geared up and dressed in appropriate clothing. When we are there nobody is allowed to split from the gang for any means necessary and I mean you Minho. We don't have the amount of planning we normally would, so we need everyone watching each others backs" Chan ordered making sure everyone understood.
"I'll be ready" Minho said.
"We will all be ready" Changbin said after.

Everyone left the room to go get everything ready. Minho went straight to his room and got changed in a matter of minutes then headed straight to the shooting range. He spent a good 20 minutes practicing his shooting and making sure every shot was precise. He then grabbed a gun with extra ammo to make sure he had enough because he knew he would need it.
He went back upstairs to see everyone was done early and ready to go. The nerves were showing on everyone and you could see how tense the room was.
"Anyone need anything else before we go" Chan asked.
"A miracle" Jeongin raised a hand.
"A prayer" Felix raised his hand.
"That's a no then" Chan sighed and twisted the keys around in his hand.
"Let's get going then we have no time to waste" Minho said opening the front door and exiting.

The car journey felt slow to Minho. He wanted them to go as fast as possible but to had to abide by the speed limit because saving Jisung would completely flunk if they suddenly got caught for speeding.
They went through an array of streets before they ended up on a more bobbly road which soon became engulfed by trees.
Chan stopped the car in a little bank hidden by the bushes and undergrowth which Changbin then followed after.
Everyone got out of the cars and Chan immediately began to direct them. They made their way through until a large building began to come into view.
"Right we are going to continue heading this way until I say so. Then we are going to stop for" Chan looked at his watch "another 7 minutes until the patrols begin to move away then we will head straight in. We are on limited time so nobody can dilly dally".
"Yes Chan" they all whispered so nobody could hear them and began following Chan once again.

Jisung checked the time. It wasn't long now until he would make his move. It was now dark and most of the patrols were on the outside of the building so Jisung didn't have too much to worry about.
He stood up and took a deep breath before opening his door and peeking his head out. He looked to see two men walking with their backs to him round a corner. The recent patrol. This gave Jisung time. He stepped out of the room and shut the door silently then began to rush down the corridor trying to make the least amount of noise possible.

He carefully looked around the corners to make sure people were not heading towards him as he went through the passageways.
He was close to his exit point when a loud noise ricocheted throughout the corridor. It was loud enough to make Jisung jump. The sound of multiple guns being shot appeared in Jisung's ears and he turned his head down the corridor but nothing was in sight.
Whatever was happening was far away from him and Jisung thought this was great. Whatever was happening gave a diversion for him to escape. He wasn't going to waste that chance.
