It was the summer of 1989 and my boyfriend, River, and I decided to get our ears pierced together. We had been talking about it for a while and finally decided to go through with it. We drove to the mall and walked into the jewelry store.

The store was filled with shiny displays of earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. The saleswoman greeted us with a smile and asked us what we were looking for. I nervously told her that we wanted to get our ears pierced.

She led us to a small room in the back of the store where a young woman was waiting for us. She explained the process to us and asked us to choose our earrings. River picked out a small silver hoop and I chose a delicate diamond stud.

I sat in the chair first and the woman marked my earlobes with a pen. I took a deep breath as she aimed the piercing gun at my ear. The sound of the gun made me jump, but it was over quickly. I looked in the mirror and saw the sparkling diamond in my ear. I loved it.

River sat in the chair next and got his ear pierced. He didn't even flinch. We both admired our new accessories and posed for a selfie with our heads together.

We left the store feeling like rebels, with our new piercings and a sense of accomplishment. It was a small step, but it was a step we took together. I'll never forget that day with River, and our matching earrings that symbolized our bond.

I can still remember the day Corey and I decided to get our ears pierced. We had been dating for a few months and wanted to do something special together. We both had been talking about getting piercings for a while and decided that it would be a fun experience to get them done together.

We went to the local piercing studio and were both a little nervous. We filled out the necessary paperwork and waited for our turn. As we waited, I couldn't help but feel a little apprehensive. I had never had any kind of piercing before and wasn't sure what to expect.

Finally, it was our turn. Corey went first and I watched as he got his earlobe pierced. He barely flinched, and I felt reassured that it couldn't be that bad. When it was my turn, I took a deep breath and sat down in the chair.

The piercer marked my ear with a pen and asked if I was ready. I nodded and closed my eyes as he pierced my ear. It stung a little, but it was over quickly. I opened my eyes and saw Corey smiling at me. He gave me a thumbs up, and I couldn't help but feel proud of myself.

We both looked at our new piercings in the mirror and were thrilled with how they looked. We even decided to buy matching earrings to wear. As we walked out of the studio, we both had a sense of accomplishment. We had shared a new experience together and were closer because of it.

From that day on, whenever we wore our matching earrings, we were reminded of that special day. Getting our ears pierced together was a fun and memorable experience, and it was something that we could share for years to come.

Corey and I had been talking about getting our ears pierced for weeks. We both wanted to do it, but we were a little nervous about the pain. Finally, we decided to take the plunge and get them done together.

We went to a piercing shop in the mall and filled out the necessary paperwork. I could feel my heart racing as we waited for our turn. When it was finally our time, we went into a small room with a piercing technician.

Corey went first. He was so brave as he sat down in the chair and held out his ear. I watched as the technician sterilized his ear and marked where the piercing would go. Then, with a quick motion, the needle went through his ear. I winced a little as I watched, but Corey hardly flinched.
