Chapter Three: Strange Things Have Happened Here No Stranger Wouldn't Be.

Owen ran like the wind.

As a runner, he was used to running long distances, and could keep up a good pace.

Shelby wasn't too bad herself (even though she wasn't even running, but rather flying alongside them.)

And due to Guts's natural size and strength she also was keeping up quite well.

But Owen wasn't focused on if the two were behind him or not, he was focused on the sounds of his friends calling his name over and over.

"OWENNNN!!!!!!" Two voices this time; Oweca and Spidey.

Faster, faster, faster!

Owen shouted at himself as he ran full tilt across the entire clearing.

Then he saw why they were shouting.

An incredibly tall jet black figure that would tower over even Guts.

They had bright glowing green eyes and long slender horns that were kind of like Guts's. They had on a golden crown, and like Scott wore purple clothing.

Unlike Scott, they had a long slender tail with tuffs of fur poking out at the tip of it.

Owen took note on how their hands were shaped like claws, but what really terrified him was what they were doing.

Ori, a half-angle that was reasonably strong and capable was bleeding.

Blood was dripping off of one of their claws, and it was reasonable to assume that this person, this creature had attacked Ori.

"Owen!" Oweca shouted running up to him with Squidney, Spidey, and Red following suit.

"They came from the maze!" Squidney reported pointing at the figure that Ori was still trying to fight.

"I would've stabbed them, but Ori got to them first" Oweca hissed.

"We need to alert the others!" Spidey cried, "we're all in danger if something from the maze can go into the daylight!"

"I'm technically from the maze, and I'm not a threat of any kind." Shelby pointed out, the pumpkin mask floating right in front of Red who jumped back in fright.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT FUCKING THING!!!!!!!" Red shouted.

"I'm not a thing, I'm Shelby!"

"So let me get this straight a pumpkin has a name? And can fly?"

"I'm not a pumpkin" Shelby giggled, "I just burn in daylight and wearing this helps people keep track of where I am."

"Well that just makes no sense I'm gonna be real. Like how does the pumpkin do anything?"

"I need to turn invisible so I don't burn, the problem is no one can see me when I am invisible so I wear this pumpkin so people can have no problem seeing me!"

"Yeah well if I were you I would just not wear the pumpkin, and use my invisibility power to scare the shit out of someone."

"I mean my friend Wilbur does do that sometimes."

"So there you go, a perfect reason to scare the shit out of people, your friend already does it."

"Yeah but he has a hard time making friends, and I want to make lots of friends, because I don't think I had much back when I was alive."

"Who needs friends when you can scare the shit out of people, and wait a minute you're dead?!"

"Yep! Don't know how don't know why, but I know I'm dead, and was awoken from my slumber by a bee."
