Owen backed up as far as he could from the thing in fear of his life, only stopping when his back hit a tree.
"Jeez you didn't have to jerk up so suddenly!" The thing explained, dusting himself off in an annoyed fashion.
"Uhm... sorry?" Owen said apologetically
"Well at least you're actually apologizing, I know way too many people who wouldn't, which is incredibly rude by the way! Did their parents teach them nothing!? Like what the heck!?"
"Uhm, forgive me for interrupting you, but I don't believe I quite got your name"
"Oh, my name is Sneeg, I'm the biggest guy here"
Well if that really was the case then all his other friends must be minuscule.
"I see, I'm Owen"
"Hello Owen, it's nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you to Sneeg"
"So, why were you just passed out on the ground Mr. Owen?"
"I-I don't know, one minute I was playing hide and seek with some friends of mine the next I was here."
Sneeg nodded thoughtfully.
"I see I see, this is quite a mystery, you see Owen. Some of my friends have been going missing as well! Perhaps what happened to them, happened to you."
"I guess that would make sense"
"It's probably best if you talk to Phil about it since he's the one who's been looking into it"
"I see, let's go meet Phil then"
Sneeg led Owen to what he could only describe as a dome, with an island floating above a large pond.
Building's lined the ring connected by paths that twisted and turned.
It was a mesmerizing sight to say the least.
Sneeg chuckled at Owen's face which must look hilarious considering this was the first time he'd seen the outside world without the help of a flashback of some sort.
The whole scene was surprisingly tranquil, if that even made sense.
Sneeg led Owen down to the water of the pond.
"Can you swim?" Sneeg asked
"Uhm... I don't think so, I've swam short distances, but not something this big."
"I see, random question, how are you with girls?"
"I don't see how this is relevant, but I try to be as respectful as possible, like if they don't want me to high-five them I won't high-five them."
"Good, good"
"Um, can I ask why you asked how I was with girls?"
"You'll find out in a minute, NIKI!!!!!!!"
Owen was a bit surprised hearing Sneeg just shout out some random name (especially after that weird question about girls).
He was even more surprised when a pink haired fish lady with blue eyes popped her head out from under the water to give them a cheeky grin that showed off two sharp teeth that must've been fangs.
"Hello Sneeg, who's your friend?" The woman asked.
"This is Owen, we're trying to get to The Pube to meet The Crow Father, but Owen can't swim long distances, and neither can I if I'm being honest, so can you please give us a lift?"
"Ok! Now Owen just jump into the pond, and I'll do the rest"
"A-alright..." Owen said, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the situation he now found himself in.
