*Snapes POV*
I woke up and did my usual morning routine, I can still remember what Lily had said to me, and maybe she's right.? I should shoot my shot when its time. I was walking down the hallway as I see her walking alone with her headphones on, so I walked beside her and copied her pace until she realized.
"hm? professor can I help you?" she asked me as I look at her with a soft loving gaze.
"no.. just wanna walk beside you today" I said softly and I watch her as she nods.
"how's your sleep Y/N?" I asked her and she smiled at me, oh how beautiful that smile is.
"its great sir! since there's no work to do I hang out with my friends in our dormitory" she answered me sweetly and I smiled slightly.
"how about you sir?" she added.
"it went.. well.." I said softly and we reached the greathall.
I watch her as she went to the Gryffindor table and sat beside Ginny and removed her headphones, as I walk towards the teachers table I heard Ron Weasley spoke about me and her arriving at the same time, and I couldn't help but smirk at what Y/N had said.
"oh he just accompanied me" she said softly.
after I sat at the teachers table, I kept looking at her, those enchanting smile that I couldn't get enough. I wish I can tell her what I've been feeling towards her.
"Severus, Albus is throwing a party here in Hogwarts for his upcoming birthday today. So I need you to help me set it up with the other teachers." Minerva said softly and that made me startle a little bit.
"why me?" I asked as I look at the old witch.
"because why not?" she said sarcastically and rose her eyebrow, and that made me scoff but nodded anyway, because I couldn't say no to the old witch. plus this might be great to confess my feelings towards her.
*3rd POV*
"did you guys hear? Headmaster is going to throw a party here for his birthday" Harry said as you all look at him confused.
"oh sick!" Ron said excitedly.
"do we need to wear a formal attire?" you asked softly.
"probably, I mean its the headmasters party" he said with a shrugged and you nodded as you took a bite of your breakfast.
few moments had passed and you're in potion class with the others waiting for Professor Snape to arrive, after arriving he walk fastly and the classroom went silence like a graveyard.
"everyone, out. there's no classes for a whole week." he said sternly not even looking at us and sat on his chair.
other students starts to stand up from their chair when one students rose their hands.
"why is there no classes sir?" a Ravenclaw student asked.
"we're setting up for headmasters party. now out all of you!" he said in an annoyed tone and everyone hurriedly got out of the classroom, including you and your friends.
"I cant believe they're cancelling all of the classes today!" Hermoine complained.
"why are you complaining? don't you want to have some fun?" Ron asked her which she scoffed.
"uh no! I've been studying for the new lessons and they're cancelling it by the minute!" she said and you just chuckled.
"hey calm down, its just a few weeks. just distract yourself and have fun with us" you said softly and Hermoine nodded.

"So you're gonna confess to her today huh?" Lily said to Severus.
"yes, and I need your help on how to do it" he said as he tap his knee
"okay, all you need to do is say what you're feeling towards her, make it romantic" she said and he rose and eyebrow.
"thats all? no buying gifts for her?" he said and she chuckled.
"yes, remember, its just a confession, so IF she rejects you, you won't waste your money" she said and he nodded understandingly.

you and your friends are in the Gryffindor common room hanging out by thr fire place as you are asking them what to do.
"what should I do?" you asked your friends panicking on how you would confess to severus.
"flirt with him?" Ginny suggested.
"or kiss him?" Ron said and you hit him with your book
"too straight forward" you said
"tease him?" George said
"no, we're not that close.." you said as you crossed your arm against your chest.
"say what you're feeling, be calm, and just be you." Cho said as you look at her and nodded, taking her advice.
