Sato and Xall sat quietly at a rounded table within a meeting room attached to the Bridge

"Satoshi.... Why?" Tadashi asked after pacing the room for a moment

"I know it's illegal and bad and probably immoral and honestly I figured I'd do a backroom deal for some of it later on cause I know we are still struggling financially. It's no secret brother you've shown me the books we are barely making enough to keep this ship together Let alone make any profit. And as for the other stuff.  Bro you saw that"

"Saw what Sato? You activating Borg technology when the fuck was this even installed? How did it pass starfleet security checks I'm pretty sure if space dock had detected that we'd all be in a prison right now!" Tadashi said

"As I was saying.. piracy is at a all time high. Not just orion's but freelancers, Andorians, telarites, even Vulcans!. And the Ferengi Jesus  those pirates were literally operating inside federation space.  Inside! They are getting brave cause it pays off for them! And the gamma quadrant if we are doing runs there then we have more risk. The Dominion don't care about pirates and hell even contract them to target federation ships. They are bitter about the loss of the war."

He took a breath

"As for hiding it. Well a dampening field xall created it mask the Borg signeture. Right now the only updates are to the shields and weapons. We have 10 Borg torpedos we used 2. And we have two Borg cutting beams added to the sides of the saucer.  The shields are updated with the spheres primary shield matrix .with Felix's help we were able to adapt it.  I also could use the power nodes to fuel our energy for nearly 5 years"

Tadashi sighed and took a seat

"Sato what happened? You used to tell me everything talk to me but now you been going around me and doing shit without talking to me.  You're my brother you're my second."

"Because ever since the Birmingham Tadashi you've honestly become.. I can't think of the word but that shit changed all of us. I watched my friend get killed. You watched a ghost torment a crew we both suffered but I pushed through and yes you helped me but that shit changed you to! You became cautious you no longer take risk. Back in the day you were flying us into plasma storms and black holes if it meant getting a valuable salvage
You heard Klingon warship decloaking you said Let's go!.  But now it's like you're afraid of loss and now anytime we do something risky or face danger you Freak the fuck out! And I'm tired of it that's not my brother! You're as Thrall put it a Pussy!" Sato said "I joined you and dad cause I wanted adventure if I wanted to stay safe I'd move back in with Mom!"

"He said that?... " Tadashi asked not wanting to believe it but he could literally hear Thralls voice in his head repeating it
. Maybe Sato was right. He used to be a risk taker and it wasn't till he actually suffered real loss that he stepped back

"Maybe I am a bit cautious. And for good reason. Vanessa and Thrall ? They've become as much my family as you are. And now xall and Felix are part of that family. Loosing Xavier hurt like hell I'm sorry I don't much enjoy the idea of losing you all and that Borg Sphere once more almost took you and Thrall from me! So forgive me for wanting to keep you all safe"  inhaling he tried to calm his racing heart

"But you're right I'm not taking risk anymore I'm making everyone's life's a boring routine of cargo runs. But that doesn't excuse the Borg shit because risk or not that shit can land us in a Federation prison and I'm confident the Bajorans won't like it either!.. keep it for now till I can figure it out but know we may have to take it out. But you're right Sato I'm done being a pussy it's time I got my balls back and once we are done with the Bajoran Colony. We gonna do some exploring and see what we can find in the Gamma Quadrant"
