Hidden feelings

The Barbecue at the Wesley's

Nathan's point of view:
In the morning he got woken up by the ring tone of his phone on the nightstand. He saw that it was his mom who called him and answered the phone with a simply Good morning Mom. "Hello,Nathan! Please don't work today for once. We want to have a barbecue to welcome Phoebe back to town. No excuses Sweetie!" she greeted him excited, but Nathan could only shake his head at her Idea. "Why does she get a welcome barbecue? She is not that special Mom." He said to her and was not really happy to see Phoebe. It was so much better when she was not in town but to his annoyance she had to come back because of her poor sick mom who she loved so dearly. "I know that you love to be the Centre of attention,Nathan. But today is Phoebe's Day!" she reminded her son hastily and hung up before he could say anything else against this barbecue party. Nathan just laid back in his bed and thought about his meeting with Phoebe yesterday afternoon, when he was out in the supermarket to buy groceries. Her hazel eyes were filled with surprise and her cheeks reddened a little bit. But he was aware of this things to happen to the women around him, because he was really handsome and muscular in comparison to the other men in his town. But somehow her reaction got stuck in his head and didn't left him at any moment, even when he was working out in the gym yesterday evening. But Nathan would never admit to have a crush on Phoebe even if his life would depend on it. His feelings are deep hidden in his heart and it would always be that way he assumed at the moment.
Phoebe's point of view:
The news of a barbecue made Phoebe really happy and to hear that it would be at Nathan's childhood home made her even happier. She would have a get a chance to meet Nathan again and could get to know him again like then when they were in Highschool. When she got in her clothes and ate her breakfast she decided to go for a run, because she wanted her old fitness back and at the same time she could have a view over her beloved home town. On the run she saw Nathan's Mom waving at her friendly and so she decided to take a break to talk to her a little bit. "Good Morning, Charlotte! Thanks for the invite to the barbecue tonight. Could my mom come with me?" she greeted her friendly and Charlotte gave a warm hug of welcome. "Of course, I would love to see your mom again! How does it feel to be back here after such a long time?" Charlotte asked after their hug and Phoebe responded with "It feels a little bit weird but Westport hasn't changed since I left here. I have to go, see you tonight!" So Phoebe ran back to her mom's house and entered with new energy. "How was your run Phoebe?" she heard her mom from the bedroom and so she went over to her and gave her a huge smile. "It was great Mom. You can come with me to the Wesley's tonight!" she announced happily and hugged her mom who also grinned happily. "Let's get pretty for tonight then Fi!" Phoebe just nodded and went to the wardrobe of her mom to give her a blue white striped dress and her favorite black high heels. For herself she took a black tight dress and a black jeans jacket with golden buttons, but she decided for herself to wear her favorite white Nike sneakers and her pearl necklace that she got from Nathan once.
Nathan's point of view:
He just got in one of his best suits as the bell from the door rang and he had to open it, because his mother and his father were out in the garden to prepare the barbecue. He assumed that it was his girlfriend Ellie who he invited because he wanted to have her here, when Phoebe arrived here. But as he opened the door he didn't look in Ellie's blue eyes but in Phoebe's beautiful hazel green eyes who glanced happily as she acknowledged his face. "Hello, Nathan!" she and her mother greeted him, but his eyes were glued on her black dress who perfectly showed all of her curves. "Hello, Phoebe and Olivia. Come in!" he finally greeted them both and led them to the garden. //why does she have to wear this dress tonight? I want to keep my control over me! But why does she have to be so damn pretty?//he just thought to himself and glanced after Phoebe who greeted his parents with welcoming hugs.
