Go Seung Tak was approaching the end of his four-year residency, while taking on more responsibilities from his mother as Director of Eunsang Hospital Foundation. He'd been paired with Professor Cha Young Min on many surgeries but hadn't gone completely solo just yet. He was studying for the Boards and already planning a wedding with his fiancé, Dr. Oh Su-jeong. Things were going splendidly, but there was something amiss in everything. Seung Tak had become the kind of doctor he'd never fully imagined. Everyone around him acknowledged the load he was carrying. Yet, over the last year, Seung Tak had lost an incredible amount of weight which gave many a concern. The worries weren't just his friends and colleagues. His mother along with himself took note of the drastic change in him. But so is the life of a busy hospital resident, and he shrugged it off up until two days ago. He was prompted to draw his own blood and submitted it under "Anonymous VIP" for a comprehensive lab test. He was a genius physician; he knew his workload left him malnourished and possibly deficient in sleep and vitamins. It was physically showing up, and he'd hoped it wasn't affecting him metabolically. As a doctor, it was only appropriate for him to take responsibility for his own health, but carry on as usual.

When Seung Tak followed Dr. Cha Young-min out of the operating room after another successful surgery, the message from the lab had come through alerting him on his cell phone via text his VIP lab results were in. Seung Tak remained quiet as he headed into the washroom to get rid of the soiled clothes and scrub out. If he was honest, he also didn't want to see them. Young-min smiled as he flicked water in Seung Tak's face, "When are you going to take the training wheels off Seung Tak?"

Seung Tak flinched, "Hey!" He was glad to be snapped out of his melancholy stare. He wiped his face, "What's wrong with assisting? I like when you pull the heavyweight." He sarcastically tilted his head and shrugged as he threw a towel into a soiled cloth bin. He gave everyone his standard delightful attitude when he didn't want to be pushed. Young-min knew it and hurried after Seung Tak as he left the scrub room, "When? When will you be brave enough to operate on your own and leave your anxiety outside the operating room? Why are you not confident? You should be by now. You're doing really well!"

Seung Tak couldn't admit to the reasons. He didn't have the stamina to last an entire twelve hour surgery, without his sunbae snapping him back into the operating room. He couldn't admit that he was fighting to focus and pull through his tiredness even assisting or any of his other hospital duties. Seung Tak was about to answer when a dark shadowy figure came around the corner just behind Young-min. It immediately caught his eye. They had just left the scrub room and make it into the OR hallway just outside the many operating room stations. He looked down the hall and around the area, "We are the only ones in surgery this morning, right?"

"Wow...I can't believe you just ignored my effort to compliment you." Young-min put his hands on his hips. "Yah, why?" Young-min noticed Seung Tak's expression. He knew the look, but this one was different. It didn't fully register for Young-min. Seung Tak had spent the last few years helping poor souls and found many clinical answers for their recovery speaking to coma ghosts and emergency patients.

Young-min's memory flashed a few situations to find a match for this current situation...

Seung Tak was often annoyed from being interrupted mid-sentence—

Seung Tak laughing at the nurse's station with his friends Young-min, Se-jin and Su-jeong. Tak joked, "Yah, you'll probably ---" His head turned from the group to look at an empty space next to them as his expression quickly changed. The group looked at each other feeling the mood change.

While eating lunch—

Seung Tak sat quietly quickly scarfing down the food in front of him. Su-jeong hit his back as he choked a bit, "Stop you'll get indigestion." He took a gulp of water, looked at Su-jeong and his friends, "I'll be right back."
