Seung Tak hated being in such a vulnerable position sitting in a hospital bed while his cousin stood vehemently staring him down. He threw his leg over the hospital bed, climbing out. He wanted argue and fight standing up. But as soon as his leg hit the floor, it buckled. Seung Tak had no idea he'd just had an area of his leg cut out and that it was still experiencing numbness from the medication. He tried to catch himself but landed on his ass.

Seung-won chuckled, "Idiot." His laughter died quickly, though. From the little rest area in the office, Se-jin popped up from her couch.

"Seung Tak!" She hurried over. "Are you okay?"

Seung-won looked at Seung Tak. He knew he had to possess him once again. Seung Tak had that look in his eye. He was ready to spill everything.

"No--!" Seung Tak tried to give some indication something was happening and warn Se-jin. But Seung-won entered his body in lightning speed.

Se-jin kneeled down next to Seung Tak's body. "What? What is it, Seung Tak?" She placed her hand on his back. "Do you not want my help?"

Seung-won saw the beauty and concern in Se-jin's eyes. He also felt the drooziness from the effects from the medication that hadn't left Seung Tak's body just yet. Anesthesiologists often speak about how it's a truth serum; another form of alcohol that relaxed inhibitions. Seung-won smiled with Seung Tak's drunken face.

"You're still so beautiful."

Se-jin's eyes widened with surprise. Her head tilted as she thought of all the reasons Seung Tak would say something like that to her. She snickered, thinking his vision was still a bit blurred from the medication and he was seeing his dear fiancé.

"Let's get you back into bed. It seems the medication hasn't worn off just yet." She tried to help him pick up his body weight.

Seung-won shook Seung Tak's small head around like it was wildly about to fall off. The medication was still in effect. "No. I've never been so...clear--Do you remember all the meals I brought to you? That was from the heart, Se-jin." Seung-won patted Seung Tak's chest. "That was from MY heart."

Se-jin's expression flattened. He was talking about her not Su-jeong. The shock of it stunned her. Seung Tak had brought her many meals. He'd called his personal secretary to bring her meals. She thought for a minute—Maybe what I felt was real at that time because Seung Tak was genuine? Maybe Seung Tak hid his real feelings all this time because of Young-min? I did seek professional help to understand itmy own heart. I did put a wall up to Seung Tak to stop my heart from being moved by him. It wasn't just because I was emotional or that Seung Tak reminded me of Young-min; I did start to care about Seung Tak. I was shaken by him.

"You had to go back to him instead of just trying to give me a chance. Maybe...Maybe I wouldn't be this way right now." Seung-won wanted to say it. He was dead. If she'd shown him an ounce of love back, he would have pulled the plug and handed her brother over. Maybe if she'd loved him back, he wouldn't have gone to such lengths to remove Young-min from the hospital or ruin his career. It all backfired because of his jealousy. His evil ways could have been changed by her. They still could—"I might be a dead man, but at least, I can tell you I love you, right?"

Se-jin remained on her knees and her arms dropped to her side. Any woman would be flattered by the gesture, but she was married now. As Seung-won cupped her face and moved in to kiss her, Se-jin didn't pull away. Her body and mind were completely spellbound. Her mind had jumped ship and her body wouldn't react. As Seung Tak's lips pressed against hers, she closed her eyes. It was partially to snap out of it and yet another reason she could not yet come to terms with. The spark and a tingling sensation ran through her body. It was as if she'd been touched by something electrifying. It made her fall back and quickly rise to her feet. It woke her from her dazed state.
