Seung-won sat amongst the Board speaking about Seung Tak's declining health, and the future of Eun Sang. Yet, the conversation changed from the Board questioning Seung Tak's appearance to how well he could presently manage both hospitals of Eun Sang, and finally recruit the best doctors in the field given he's still piggybacking off Dr. Cha's surgeries. It warmed Seung-won's heart that he'd possessed Seung Tak the morning of his first solo surgery without even knowing. It was an accident, though. If his mother hadn't given him an errand, they wouldn't have come face-to-face that morning.

However, there was something else going on with this meeting. Seung-won realized quickly the meeting was called while the Chairman and his Aunt Go were out-of-town, because the Board didn't agree with the proposal, he'd submitted just yesterday for Seung Tak's mother. It was a new funding scheme to bring in more money for the foundation that would allow recruitment of highly skilled physicians to volunteer themselves for complicated procedures and surgeries for those who could not afford it. Many of the physicians on staff passed off difficult procedures too afraid to let it stain their careers. It was something that came to the Chairman's attention when Dr. Cha was in a coma and he'd been fighting ever since to get Eun Sang staffed with assertive, highly skilled doctors. Equipment was expensive and doctor sign-on bonuses were competitive, especially if the VIP side of Eun Sang was snatching up good doctors. The VIP side of Eun Sang was competing with Eun Sang. Chairman Go had allowed a beast into the walls disrupting his original vision he'd established. But was the beast something of a physical force that infiltrated the walls of Eun Sang?

Board Member Shin remained silent. It was odd. Shin wasn't new to the Board, but he wasn't a lifer like the others either. Shin had been appointed while he was in prison. He had no history with the man, and wondered if what he said to him...or Seung Tak just a moment ago was tainted with a dose of sarcasm.

But can you tell them what to do like I can?

Usually the ones who kept silent during group discussions were the most manipulative amongst the group. He should know. He spent years having closed door conversations. Seung-won sat back glancing up from time to time at the dark figure hovering in the room from over the rim of his coffee cup. It was unrecognizable. It had sinned, obviously. The Thing seemed to pace the room as if it was influencing the board to fight. He thought of the conversation he overheard between Seung Tak and Chief Bahn before he possessed Seung Tak.

Just a while ago, before the Board meeting, Seung-won entered Se-jin's office having found out from staff gossip that Seung Tak had been transferred out of the VIP side but not into the other side of the hospital. It made sense for Se-jin to bring him into a private space so that she could continue her study on his cousin, but she was also keeping him from prying eyes. She had good intentions, but it amplified the gossip. Still, Seung-won wouldn't have Seung Tak protest being stowed away in Se-jin's private office. He looked forward to more time with her alone.

He stood back as Seung Tak rustled around in bed, waking up to new surroundings and Chief Bahn a little too close to his face.

"Chief? Let my eyes adjust before you get that close." Seung Tak was himself even when he was sick.

Chief Bahn backed up, "Oh, okay." He was always just as awkward as Seung Tak. "I guess I don't need to go through any cognitive tests. You had us scared a while ago."

Seung Tak looked around the room. He frowned, "Se-jin Noona—Eh Dr. Jang's office? Why am I in here?"

"So, you remember being on the other side?" Chief Bahn didn't need to state what side that was. They all referred to it as the other side from their side.

Seung Tak thought for a moment. Right. I was there and that Thing—He widened his eyes, scanning the room, rapidly. His eyes landed on his cousin hanging out with his arms impatiently crossed. He waved, "Welcome back from the dead. I saved your ass."
