I watch as Felix traces the letters over and over as he mumbles things to himself before I kneel down next to him rubbing his back. His eyes are bloodshot now as he tries his best not to sob,it breaks my heart to see him like this but there is no way that I will snap him out of it.

“Alex” Felix whispers as his eyes are glazed over before he snaps out of his as his eyes are clear. “We need to free Alex tonight,Tonight is the night that Alex died and was supposed to be his first day with Minho but he felt everything Alex did”

“But how?” I didn’t see any markings on him on any photos that Lee Know once showed me of his yearbook but then yet again Lee Know died senior year and Alex died Sophomore year. Or at least that’s what Lee Know has told us but we might have to ask Alex that too.

“They had a one night stand sometime beforehand,I don’t know when but I know that they did.” Felix says as he stands up stretching. “But first,let’s have a little bit of fun.” Felix suggests.

That doesn’t make any sense because if Lee Know was a Junior when Alex was a sophomore then wouldn’t that mean that Lee Know was 17 and Alex was 16 but to get in here,you have to be either a Junior or Senior.

“Mind if I make a quick call?” I ask him as I take my phone out of my pocket

“Hwang,what are you thinking about doing?” Felix asks me before just motioning towards the door since the music is blaring so loud that it is hard to hear what he is saying. I follow him as I shut the gym door behind me.

“I need to call mom,I know that father didn’t want her mentioning his brother just due to the way Alex died but I need to know”

Felix nods as I dial her number,I hear it ring a couple of times before I hear her softer voice through the phone “Hyunjin,how has school been treating you? Is everything okay?”

“Yeah mom,I just happened to get curious,when did Uncle Alex die?”

“Alex? He died in 1887,he was one of the people who died when the school caught on fire but not one of the ones who died because of it.” Did I just hear that right?

“So he didn’t almost drown and die by a bunch of bullies?”

“ Those ghosts there are showing you shit there aren’t they?” What does she mean by that? She must have attended school here as well but Felix saw him die right? There is no way that it could have been that way, and if that is the case,why isn’t Lee Know telling us the truth?

“No,my boyfriend has the power to see memories through blood,part of the blood magic stuff, his parents practice it but not him”

“Okay we are going to have to talk about that later Hyunjin. He was trying to get to his lover on the other side of the door as the flames got higher, did you know what my power is? Do you know why I didn’t have the marking?”

The marking? Oh the soulmate marking,I guess that is what she is talking about. “Why?” Anymore I am afraid to ask. There has been so many twists and turns this school year,I’m not really going to ask

I put it on speaker for Felix to hear as it involves him but at the same time it doesn’t “Because Alex is my soulmate but I’m not his,his was a man named Lee Minho. I never saw it coming but when I touched his bones before they made him into ashes. But we matched like a fitting puzzle,I could see the past and he could see the future. We could have been unstoppable”

“But Alex was missing for two years and what about him drowning in the lake by bullies”

I hear mother laugh which makes Felix look at me,I just shrug in response “Can you put me on speaker,I need to hear this from your boyfriend”
