Jisung locks eyes with me nodding motioning for us to move on,I was fine with that anyways since I have to talk to Alex. He needs to know the full truth of what is going on and not what his so-called memory is showing him. 

“Are you sure this will work?” Felix asks as we begin to walk into the forbidden forest,I simply nod at him before I see Alex leaning against a tree but I don’t think that he knows we are here yet. I know that he is lost in thought and thinking about what could have been on that night.

“Uncle, you know what we are here to do don’t you?” I ask him as Alex turns around to face me as he laughs softly. 

“Uncle? Hyunjin,I’m not in the mood for your pranks and no I don’t. I looked through Felix’s future and when the time comes,don’t chicken out,you may be young for it but why waste time?” What is he talking about? How could he have not seen it? 

“Your brother is Hwang Seonmin right?” I am lucky that I saw dad’s gravestone in order to say his full name.

“Yes,he married his high school sweetheart or so I saw anyways and she used to be by my side all the time,we were unstoppable but..something happened but I don’t remember,most ghost don’t know how they died,and if they do,they have to swap memories just to gain that knowledge.”

So Lee Know wanted to take that risk which is why he didn’t know somethings like the one night stand with Alex and the whole dance scene. Curiosity is sometimes a bad thing but it will eat you inside if you hold onto it for too long.

“Yes and 6 years later,they had me, and 16 years later after that,he passed away from a heart attack. So I am your family,but I have more news than that. The night that you supposedly died,you didn’t. Your brother saved you and then you were in a coma for a year but Lee Know..sorry Minho went insane and a spell went wrong.”

Alex nods before bringing me in for a hug “I am glad that she found happiness but I am sorry for the trama you had to go through,he was a jerk and you are such a good kid that I would even adopt you if I could have. I loved kids and so did Minho, Minho and I talked about the future once before..”

I don’t want to ask him what it was because I don’t want to make him upset that he is dead now,that he can’t cherish those things anymore. “We are both here for a reason,we want to free you.” Felix says as I hear Jisung run to us as he has now changed clothes.

“Seriously Jisung? We are here in suits and what do you think we are doing? Burning or burying a body?” I bitch at him before shaking my head and turning back to Alex as I take out a necklace that contained his ashes out of my shirt.

“Why are you carrying part of my ashes kid?” Alex asks, leaning his head against the tree. 

“Because,I feel closer to you when I have this on, you remind me to keep on going each day,that things could be worse than what it already is.” But it also reminds me,despite Lee Know’s grumpy ass,that love can be eternal.

I pour the ashes on the forest floor then Jisung forms his fire into a spiral lighting it on fire. The fire turns from orange to blue for a couple seconds as Jisung puts it out. Felix walks away from the forest line as he shouts “Try to come to me Alex”

Alex sighs “You know this probably won’t work right?”

“Good grief uncle,you sound more and more like Lee Know every day.”

Alex looks over at me shocked “Did you mean that he makes you call Lee Know?”

“At first he did until Felix came to this school and found out his true name through a polaroid that Minho keeps with him. I know that had special memories for him too” I tell him as we are walking to Felix.
