So here Killua was, awkwardly standing and staring at the somewhat unoccupied seat next to his difficult target. Killua couldn't go back down now. There were too many elderly people occupying the space and upstairs had a huge ruckus of school kids that had claimed his usual seat so he had no choice but to sit next to Gon. If he didn't then someone else would. And they would also snatch his chances of claiming Gon. With a deep breath to help gather up the remains of his courage, Killua walked up to the remaining seat.
"Mind if I sit here?" Killua cursed himself for feeling so nervous.
The greenette looked up from his phone and smiled welcomingly. "Yeah, no problem." He grabbed his bag and placed it down on the floor. Wedged between the window and his legs.
"Thanks" Killua mumbled as he stiffly sat down on the seat, attempting to sink down and relax himself but to no avail. He looked around uncomfortably, Gon being completely oblivious to his awkwardness.
Finally Killua glanced at Gon's screen as he read the title of the song that was now playing.
"Oh cool, You're listening to Phantom troupe."
Gon removed his earphones from his ears and stared wide eyed at Killua. "You know them?"
"Well who doesn't?" Killua lets out an amused huff.
"You'll be surprised by how many people in my grade have never heard of them."
"That's insane! That's, like, offensive on a personal level considering the fact that I've met them!"
Gon's eyes sparked with glee. "No way! You've met them!?" He exclaimed leaning in a little too close to Killua's face, causing the silver head to blush furiously.
He sighed to maintain his composure before continuing, "My brother's married to an ex member of their band and I was supposedly great friends with some of them before they became very popular and when they did I sang two songs with them."
"Proof?" Gon joked, flashing an uncertain grin.
Killua immediately whipped out his phone, facing the screen away from Gon as he scrolled through his photos and clicked on one.
"This is me with Machi and Shalnark before they went on stage for one of their first big band performances 4 years ago," Killua turned the phone to Gon. The three were on some tour bus and Killua had sunk into a bean bag beside Shalnark as they seemed to be playing a game with the controllers they were vigorously pressing down on. Machi was sat on the couch to their left, her legs curled up beside her, where she drank some orange liquid scrolling through something on the phone, the trio unaware of the photo being taken. "This was back when they were semi famous and their band name hadn't spread that much yet. Shizuku was the one taking the picture."
"Wow! So cool!" Gon beamed, leaning back. "You know them personally too!"
"Mhm," Killua nodded. "My brother is married to 'Bungee Star'. His real name is 'Hisoka Morrow'. Such a shame because Illumi Zoldyck sounded much better than Illumi Morrow. They just don't have the same ring." Killua sighed wistfully. He was talking too much. This idiot, he needed to shut up. A lot of the things he was saying were confidential but he wanted to appear appealing to Gon. Killua wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans, silently praying Gon hadn't noticed the minor action. He was seriously so nervous that he was just blabbing his nerves on the first things that came to mind.
" 'Zoldyck' ," Gon pondered. "The name sounds familiar."
"I suppose so. My dad's the founder and CEO of the famous tech company 'Kukuroo Empire' . My brother, Illumi, is a model and My mother is a famous actor and singer. Does Kikyo Zoldyck ring a bell by any chance?"
