After reflecting on what Black Licorice had told me, the next day, I'm with the girls during their unofficial badminton match. It's Plum and Orange against Lemon and Raspberry, and I could not be happier. It's sheer luck that put the last two together, even for badminton. Blueberry and I are playing Go Fish while Strawberry is cheering for... both sides.

Strawberry: That's it, Lemon! Way to go, Orange!

Me: Strawberry, you can only root for one side.

Strawberry: Says who?

Me: Says every competitive sport.

Strawberry: Well, just try to stop me. I'll root for everyone.

Blueberry: (to me) Do you have any eights?

I check my deck of cards, and since I'm playing against Blueberry, I have to make myself look smart.

Me: Hmm... It would seem as though I do not have any eights. Therefore, I say, go fish.

Blueberry: Berry well, then.

I take a card from the pool and I get a seven.

Me: Wow.

Plum flips forward and lands on her feet, while knocking the birdie to the other side. That causes everyone on both teams to cheer for her.

Then, I hear Cherry Jam sighing behind me. She's lounging in a lawn chair, with her own magazine over her face, and a refreshing beverage in her hand. She's also wearing some summer clothing, which... is fine. I've been around girls enough to where seeing Cherry in revealing clothes isn't a problem.

Oh, and Black Licorice is standing right next to her, not affected by the humid weather, because he's keeping his long coat on, buttoned up and all. He's snickering to his phone, making me quite confused. This man has always been a mystery.

Strawberry: Did you have a nice nap, Cherry?

Cherry takes the magazine off and sips her drink.

Cherry: I don't know when I've ever felt so relaxed.

Blueberry: Your phone finally stopped ringing.

Cherry sits up.

Cherry: I'll tell you my secret, Blueberry. That's because... I turned it off!

She starts laughing, because... I don't really know. Maybe it's because she finally got the break she always wanted, but couldn't find a way to get it. Berry Bitty City is the perfect place for that.

Black Licorice: I haven't turned mine off and, boy, are my messages overflowing! That performance y'all pulled off last night was an absolute success!

Me: Wait, how?

Black Licorice: I had a video camera on ya last night and posted your shindig on the Berry Web. Now, everyone's gonna see how talented you berry-heads really are.

Strawberry: Oh, wow, Black Licorice, that's amazing!

Blueberry: That performance was desireable, wasn't it?

Me: W-wait, everyone saw it?

Black Licorice: These numbers don't lie, Coco-nuts.

Black Licorice shows me the video he posted and it's got... OVER HALF A MILLION VIEWS?!

Me: Damn...

I know it's not in my nature to swear, and I deeply apologize, but... There is a berry huge chance Apple Dumplin saw that video.

I know... I know I should have forgotten her by now, but how can I? Every day I wake up in Berry Bitty City, the closer I get to Season 4. When that moment comes, I won't be able to forget her. I see Raspberry giggling as she has her arms around me, confident in the relationship she's in.
