"You're sure you have to go?" Lauren asked from the doorway.
"Yes," Camila smiled weakly before continuing to pack her bag.
A few weeks had passed and the time for Camila to go back to California had arrived. Tomorrow morning she would be getting on a plane and returning to the life she'd ran away from. Luckily, she would also be putting an end to it, and it was about time.
"Here," Lauren said after pulling something from the laundry basket of clean clothes she was carrying, handing Camila the Duke sweatshirt of hers the younger woman had been wearing to bed almost every night.
Camila kissed Lauren on the cheek, as she was now standing next to her, before the green-eyed girl collapsed onto their bed.
"Did you get the beds set up?" Camila laughed, eyeing Lauren's exhausted appearance.
"Yeah, finally," Lauren groaned as she threw an arm over her face.
Since Camila and Avery were now living with Lauren and Laney on a more permanent basis, they had finally gotten Avery her own bed. They picked it up from IKEA that afternoon, which lead to an interesting battle between Lauren and the confusing directions for the various pieces of deconstructed bunk bed.
"But of course they ended up in the same bed anyways," Lauren smirked, shaking her head. The two girls had been rather excited about getting bunk beds and both wanted to sleep in the top bunk.
"I should go say goodnight," Camila said after setting the suitcase she'd finished packing onto the floor. Before she could make her way out of the room, though, Lauren pulled on her arms so she fell onto the bed and on top of her. Lauren's hands immediately found the sides of Camila's face to pull their lips together.
"I'm going to miss you," Lauren mumbled when their lips separated as she brushed a few strands of hair from the younger woman's eyes.
Camila shivered slightly in reaction to the raspy tone of Lauren's voice as well as how sincere her words felt.
"I'm going to miss you too," Camila whispered before bringing their lips back together into another short kiss.
"How are you feeling about the trip?" Lauren asked, gently stroking Camila's back underneath her shirt.
"A little nervous," Camila admitted as she shifted her position on top of Lauren.
"I wish I was going with you," Lauren frowned.
"I'd feel better if you were there too, but it makes me feel better knowing you'll be with Avery," Camila replied.
Lauren nodded simply as Camila laid down to bury her face into her neck.
"I'm here with you now," Lauren said softly, bringing her lips to the top of the brunette's head. "Anything I can do to help ease those nerves?" She added as she gently squeezed Camila's hips.
Camila responded by bringing her lips to Lauren's neck and Lauren let out a small moan under the sensation of teeth scraping against her skin. She bit her lip in an attempt to stay as quiet as possible before flipping them over on the bed so that she was on top.
"How about," Lauren started as she helped Camila pull her shirt over her head, tossing the garment over her shoulder and onto the floor somewhere. "I give you," she continued, bringing her lips to the center of the younger woman's chest. "Something to think about while you're away," she finished before leaving a series of kisses down Camila's stomach.
Camila made a muffled noise as she pressed her lips together when Lauren grazed her clothed center with a few teasing kisses before making her way back up her body and bringing their mouths back together in a heated kiss.
