The clock struck 10:00 PM.
The heavy glass doors of the café swung open, and the temperature in the room seemed to drop ten degrees. Jeon Jungkook stepped inside, his long black coat billowing slightly. Behind him, a wall of silent, stone-faced guards followed. He carried a dark, suffocating aura, a cold, predatory stare that instantly paralyzed the few customers remaining.
He hadn’t come for a late-night caffeine fix. He was hunting. For days, he had tracked the two shadows trembling in the corner booth, men who had dared to betray the syndicate.
Jungkook took a seat at a nearby table, his movements slow and deliberate. The tension reached a breaking point. Sensing the end, the two men bolted toward the exit. Without shifting his gaze, Jungkook drew his firearm. Two deafening shots rang out. The men collapsed, screaming as they clutched their shattered legs.
Panic erupted. The remaining patrons fled, leaving the café a hollow shell. Jungkook stood, his boots clicking rhythmically against the tile. He leaned over his captives, a sharp, manic smirk playing on his lips.
"Did you truly believe you could outrun me?" He let out a low, chilling laugh. "How incredibly childish. Don't you know whose shadow you’re standing in? I am Jeon Jungkook. The man who owns this city."
He straightened his suit and signaled his men. "Take these pieces of filth to the basement. I have quite a bit of 'work' left to do with them."
As he stepped out into the cool night air, still adjusting his leather gloves, a sharp gasp came from right behind him.
"Owwie! My nose! My poor, beautiful nose!"
Jungkook spun around, his hand instinctively reaching for the holster at his hip, but he froze. A girl was standing there, rubbing the tip of her nose with a dramatic, exaggerated pout. She looked ethereal, like a goddess, but her energy was pure chaos.
"Hey, you! Mr. Giant!" she chirped, stomping her foot. "Can't you see me here? You totally smacked my face with your shoulder! It’s all red now, see? It’s ruined!"
She leaned forward, pointing to her nose while looking at him expectantly. Jungkook, the most feared man in the underworld, found himself momentarily paralyzed. She wasn't shaking; she was scolding him.
"Are you a statue? Hellooo? Mr. Statue? Are you deaf too?" she asked, waving a hand in front of his face.
Jungkook cleared his throat, trying to regain his mask of cold indifference. "Ah... Miss, perhaps you should have watched where you were skipping. You’re quite small, I didn't see you. What are you even doing out so late, little one?"
"I wasn't skipping, I was walking with style! And Hmph! I’m not small, I’m 'fun-sized'!" she giggled, her mood shifting from annoyed to playful in a heartbeat. "My name is Kim Y/N! And don't call me little, or I’ll tell my Eonnie you were mean to me!"
Kim Y/N. The name was as bright and sweet as her personality.
"My apologies, Miss Y/N," Jungkook said, his voice dropping an octave, losing its edge. "It’s late. Let me drive you home. It isn't safe for a... 'fun-sized' girl to be out alone."
"Nope! No can do, Mr. Jungkook!" She gave him a cheesy thumbs-up. "My apartment is just right there, see? The one with the yellow flowers? I can hop there in two minutes. But thank you for being a polite giant! Bye-bye!"
She gave him a tiny wave, turned on her heel, and practically skipped away, leaving the legendary Mafia boss standing on the sidewalk like a confused schoolboy.
Back at the sprawling mansion, the air in the basement smelled of cold concrete and iron. The other members were already waiting.
"My Jeon! You finally caught the rats," Jimin chirped, leaning against a pillar.
"Yeah, Jimin-hyung. I got them."
"Good boy," Jimin teased. "I'm proud of my son."
Jungkook rolled his eyes. "I’m not your son, Hyung. Stop treating me like a kid."
"Shut up, Bunny!" Jimin laughed, ruffled his hair.
The atmosphere shifted as Jin stepped forward. "Jungkook, did you find out who sent them?"
"Not yet, but they’ll talk." Jungkook’s gaze turned icy as he picked up a silver blade. The basement echoed with the grim sounds of the underworld until the traitors were no more. "Clean this up," he ordered the guards.
"Ahem" Taehyung interrupted, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Word travels fast, Kook. We heard you ran into someone... bouncy tonight. Who is she?"
Jungkook flushed, turning away. "It’s nothing, V-hyung. Just a girl."
"Oh, really?" J-Hope chimed in, grinning widely. "Well, I happen to know her. She’s a close friend of my sister. She's basically a human energy drink. Obsessed with plushies and strawberry milk."
Jungkook spun around. "Wait, seriously? Tell me everything! I mean-"
Namjoon chuckled, patting his shoulder. "No need to explain. We see right through you."
"Woah" Jimin beamed. "Are we finally getting a sister?"
"Not a sister" Jungkook muttered under his breath, his voice low and possessive. "A sister-in-law."
"Our little Bunny is all grown up" Suga remarked with a rare smirk.
Jungkook’s Bedroom
That night, Jungkook lay in his darkened room, staring at the ceiling. He didn't think about his enemies or his empire. He thought about a girl who 'walked with style' and threatened him.
"Strawberry milk," he murmured, picking up his phone to text his assistant. "I'll need to buy out the whole factory tomorrow."
He closed his eyes, a genuine smile tugging at his lips.
"I'll make you mine, baby."
